I can't stress enough how glad I am of HIII's redemption story.
And Cochran's body count would make The Shape even paler by comparison.

I have bigger issue with it being called season of the witch than Halloween. There’s no witch in here.

it's biggest issue has always been calling it Halloween 3.
If it was Halloween 2 and they went non Meyers... but doing the return of and then Season of the Witch you mess with the established formula.
I do like the subtitle I saw for it for one trailer "The Night No One Comes Home"

I do like the subtitle I saw for it for one trailer "The Night No One Comes Home" The story I've heard is that Carpenter and Hill intended for Halloween to either be a self contained story or an anthology series set around October 31. When the first movie blew up and was super successful to the point where a sequel to that story was demanded by the studio. So Halloween III was the attempt to go back to the anthology idea.

Which in retrospect I'd totally be on board for. Maybe it would work better as a TV series while Myers inhabited the theatrical world, kind of like the two Friday the 13th's. But it would probably get lost in the shuffle with the other horror anthology series in the '80s.. Maybe it could have been an annual TV special?
