Oh damn, Sasha often wrestled like she had a death wish in WWE. I dread to think what risks she'll take in Japan with nobody to hold her back.
Also FFS bushiroad get Stardom and NJPW on the same damn service.

From PW Insider: Mercedes Varnado aka WWE's Sasha Banks is expected to be at New Japan Pro Wrestling's Wrestle Kingdom 17 event next month, according to several sources close to the situation. While it is unknown whether Varnado will be appearing before the live crowd, we are told that NJPW is bringing Varnado in for the event. Hi next challenger to KAIRI's title because no way they bring her in and not use her on air. I cannot remember if she is still contracted to WWE and just was negotiating new terms or what but if she is , then one would have to believe HHH allows NJPW to utilize Sasha , then KAIRI is surely getting her wish to defend the IWGP womens title in WWE. Given they just set up Saraya having a mystery partner in AEW for their Kia Forum show in LA... five weeks in advance, I actually don't think WWE's involved at all, and Sasha's gonna work AEW and NJPW.

This might be good for both brands. Seems that Triple H isn't totally against talent exchanges? Forbidden door? Aren't they lending them Shinsuke too?

Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows are apparently working NJPW sometime this month, and also at Wrestle Kingdom as well. No idea beyond that. Nick Khan has publicly mentioned that he has no problem with loaning other companies talents or bringing in other companies talents if it benefits WWE in some fashion. And I don't think Triple H minds either. Hell, KAIRI herself mentioned shortly after returning to STARDOM, that Nick, Triple H, and Stephanie all reached out to her, and sent her flowers for her return to the ring, and mentioned that the door is always open for even a short run.

Sasha also seems to have these outside projects that she wants to do these days as well.
Wherever she ends up going (if she goes anywhere) it might depend on how willing they will be to let her keep doing this other stuff?

I think they're fine for one-offs. Muta's retirement is a special occasion and like you say it benefits wwe. Finishing prior commitments is also different to new ones. Hell both those things applied even under Vince, they're just likely to be less rare. All that aside trying to stop Sasha working in Japan would open up a can of worms about independent contractor legalities they'd rather avoid.

How would she feel about traveling to Japan on a monthly basis though? Even if she were to win the title, the IWGP doesn’t really look like something that is going to require that or touring etc right now.

Well f*** me sideways I was NOT expecting that.
I’m not sure this will be Sasha working with WWE. First off, she’s a huge Joshi fan. Always had been. Secondly, WWE under HHH hasn’t exactly addressed the issues she had when she left with the Women’s tag titles. Also, recent reports stated that talks between the two sides had stalled but, who knows for sure?
Best believe her appearance will attract attention to New Japan and STARDOM. That we can be sure of.

They’ve been saying that they want the IWGP Women’s title to be featured in the states more, as well. So, if she wins it, she won’t have to make the plane ride often.

So after months of E fanboys thinking a Sasha return was on the horizon now it's time for AEW fans to get themselves in a tizzy over it...lmao
At least she knows how to keep her name out there...

Well the word making the round is her contract is up Jan 1st so gonna wait to see which way this all plays out.
But I hope Sasha got her insurance because STARDOM women about to beat the f*** outta her just the way she has always wanted lol and about to learn that the STARDOM KAIRI is a whole different murder monster because she has been collecting jaws with that backhand

As has been noted by everyone, the most expected way for her to show up would be for her to challenge KAIRI for the IWGP after her match (funnily enough, her vs. Tam would be a more interesting match lol). If it happens I don't expect some long run working tours and non-PPV shows, but I wouldn't be completely shocked by more than one match. Whatever happens I'm kinda glad I got a WK ticket even with Naito currently having nothing to do.
...Naito vs. Sasha?

Well, whatever NJPW has planned for Yokohama Arena, pretty sure they can squeeze some space for another IWGP Womens Title match...

The winner of Kairi vs Nakano will defend The Women's Title at Battle in The Valley in February.

Shingo and Taichi's match next Monday follow Texas Deathmatch rules.
You pin the opponent and then they have a 10 count to make it to their feet. Since they have been fighting all over arenas the past month, Lumberjacks will be there to keep them in the ring.

Meltzer is backing up the report that Sasha will be at WK now as well. I’m definitely Re subbing to Stardom and NJPW World.
