IMO they had the best chain hamburger. Yeah you build it your way, but there burgers were so juicy. Miss the place

IMO they had the best chain hamburger. Yeah you build it your way, but there burgers were so juicy. Miss the place I miss being able to cover a burger in so many hot cheeses and spicy sauces.

I worked at a Fuddruckers for a bit. Baked our own bread and desserts, ground the meat and hand made patties, cut the veggies fresh, even made fresh ranch dressing. I was trained to do it all. And since the owner as a tightwad who wouldnt pay anyone we were always shorthanded. I was hired to be a manager and got paid well just not a manager because the owners daughter didnt like me. But I ended up with 70-80 hours a week and with overtime made more than the GM.
It would never work today. They would have premade probably frozen patties, bread delivered every few days, frozen and thawed desserts.

Had to unload trucks, Freezer full of frozen stuff. Only desserts were cookies or milkshakes.

Everyone wants the takeaway and lunch money so it cut into prep cook hours. Easier to pay other companies to make our recipes similar and ship them to you. Not the same.
