Pogo the Clown in XPW. A gimmick based of a real life serial killer complete with very deliberate homages who staked a gay character.

TNA has so many of these, but sticking to personal shit and excluding the stuff that's so bad it circles back in to bringing me immense joy (AJ Styles' chainsaw incident for example)
The Rainbow Express was so so bad. Maybe one of the ugliest examples of homophobic stuff in wrestling. Not even Kwee Wee being the freak of nature that was Kwee Wee could make this shit watchable.

It's also a weird name when "Rainbow Connection" would be a better name for a gay tag team.

The Mass Transit incident remains one of the most "how did Heyman not go to prison" things among many. Heyman I always figured was largely blameless because the kid, his father and the little person wrestler all vouched for him and lied about his age. New Jack on the other hand... Yeah he was just being a depraved asshole. What I don't get is why Heyman didn't ask for an ID if he wasn't sure. If he doesn't have one that proves his age, don't book him.

Oh shit I guess XPW did offend me more than once In case you ate not in the know: John Wayne Gacy is one of the most infamous serial killers in US history. He murdered 30+ teenagers and buried their remains under the foundation of his house. He was known in his community to moonlight from his day job to dress up as a clown to do magic shows for kids hospitals, he is an unfortunate fixture in on pop culture for various photos of him in his clown outfit, the real life killer clown. The wrestler wore a costume and makeup that were a dead ringer fir Gacy’s, plus he carried a shovel to the ring and used a finisher called buried in the basement. Wrestling will never be accused of good taste but I’d say that crossed many different lines.

Re. Mass Transit and who the fault lay with, it was kind of a parade of stupidity. New Jack was New Jack, Mass Transit himself was clearly a moron, his father should've put his foot down instead of facilitating his idiocy, and Heyman should have been more careful than to just book someone he had no knowledge of who had just turned up with his gear.
As for things that personally offended me, the Progress owners asking for donations from fans to "keep the lights on" while pocketing a six-figure dividend from the company was a bit naughty.

In Rise and Fall is ECW he says the kid had forged documents of some kind but didn't really elaborate on it. So he could have had a fake ID or fake credential papers or something

On that same note, I seem to recall xpw did a skit that simulated attempted rape. I can’t remember all the specifics but I sadly recall heel bending a woman over, yanking her skirt down and starting to undress before someone he has came into sage the day. The damsel in distress is a plot device as old as there is, but there are certain boundaries it’s better not to cross. The WCW skit where the NWO beat up Flair in a field offended me-more specifically, it insulted my intelligence even as a teenager. After weeks of Bischoff meddling in Flair’s plans, Ric is still keeping him around and putting him in positions to interfere? Bischoff as the limo driver flashing all kids of sinister glares into the rearview mirror and no one notices? Flair has a limo full of Time Warner execs and not one of them has a cell phone to call 912, plus they all vanish into thin air once the limo parks? Just so many little inconsistencies it was maddening.

Amazed no one's mentioned the Voodoo Kin Mafia / Christy Hemme feud where the entire premise of it was, "VKM are a couple of sexist assholes who think women only exist to make them horny, and they're the good guys for it."

Any attempt by TNA to recreate the attitude era (which in and of itself is a cringe-fest, outside of the highlight reel stuff) was just flat out insulting to my intelligence.

One I certainly didn't see play out but when I heard about it was very firmly, "What in the f***," was a match in SMW where it was Undertaker, Bob Armstrong & Tracey Smothers against the Gangstas and if the Gangstas lost they'd have to salute the Confederate flag.

Pogo The Clown was the most 2000s gimmick and wrestler ever, I always book that f***ing guy whenever I'm doing an EWR run and get incredibly carried away with bullshit. Dude's apparently a total dick too I remember hearing.
