Absolutely heartbreaking, wow. I distinctly remember my first grade teacher Mrs Carlson breaking the news to us in class that the first ever 24 hour cartoon channel was coming and we all were thrilled. Seeing its growth and evolution was something really special, especially with adult swim hitting at just the right time in my teenage years.
So many talented people will be not just out of jobs, but out of platforms.

Being honest I haven't seen anything on it since that MAD cartoon show, which was what 2012? Before that all I watched was Brave and the Bold.
I do put on Boomerang, and sub to their streaming app. But nothing on modern Cartoon Network has caught my attention in a long time. Odd cause from 97 thru about 2004 it was my main channel.

It's been lifeless for the past five years or so.
Bad shows, terrible decisions and more lead to its downfall.

They really haven't been interested in content in years Like it was apparent after you saw the way they treated Adventure Time, Regular Show and Steven Universe kicking them out the door with no fanfare when they brought the shit back to life essentially. They basically only relied on Teen Titans Go for years and I assume with how divisive the show has been they never really attempted to hook into anything else

Wonder how long before they fill the channel with Litton-tier live action shit?

Craig of the Creek, Victor and Valentino, We Bear Bears, Infinity Train, Primal, to name a few, these weren't/aren't bad shows The terrible decisions however, yeah, Zaslav doesn't know what he's doing

Damn. While I'm not in their target audience now, I loved Powerpuff Girls, Cow and Chicken, Johnny Bravo, etc back in day. Not to mention stuff like Space Ghost: Coast to Coast, Harvey Birdman and Sealab 2021 were awesome as well. Also their re-runs of classics were appreciated as well.
Thanks for the memories!

It's dumb and it's got so many peeps paranoid.

Yeah, them cutting Toonami for a good while was a big mistake for sure as it def helped bring a lot of kids my age coming up into anime before we actually knew what that was

Yeah, I think this is going stick for the long haul unless WB decides to sell off this part at some point in the future The biggest thing that is f**ed is the brand new creators looking for chances. You're basically going to be in store for a lot of older material brought back like Scooby Doo (which I think they are doing now)., Batman, etc... Now, they do have a good amount of IPs to work with to really pull something good together but it has been a long while since there was something consistently good

Sadly I'd just prepare for all kinds of "whip up more content as cheaply as possible" shit, since that's basically most of what the streaming age has become.

Considering their was already a small uproar when they started kicking some stuff off HBOMax from some creators, that is pretty much way I see things going

For some reason, I never got into Cartoon Network as a kid. Nickelodeon always seemed to hit better. Probably because they offered more than cartoons?
