Say what you want about him, but to me he’s been very valuable to AEW, and this year with his weight loss, he’s stepped up in ring game. So this makes a lot of sense to me.

I think this might put to bed the idea that Jericho would go back to WWE for one last run. Maybe an HOF induction, but I don't see 54 or 55 year-old Chris Jericho wanting to deal with a Triple H-run WWE and everything that comes with that, especially if he's genuinely happy and making bank in AEW.
I guess *maybe* one match at a WrestleMania is always a possibility, but this to me says Jericho's an AEW guy now. It makes sense with how they treat him.

I could actually see Jericho transitioning to be the Pat Patterson figure that Tony really needs in the next few years.

This sounds like Jericho is winding down his active in-ring career and transitioning to a mainly behind the scenes role. He's been putting on some real solid matches lately too. But I get wanting step back at his age.

Awesome. At this stage of his career, Jericho genuinely feels like an "AEW guy."
I don't think he even really needs the twilight run in WWE at this point because, to me, he's already established himself on wrestling's Mt. Rushmore.

I could actually see Jericho transitioning to be the Pat Patterson figure that Tony really needs in the next few years. I may be misremembering but Jericho had said in the past that he had been offered some type of deal similar to the EVPs (may have even been title of EVP) but at the time turned it down. I know he's said in thr past that he's newm part of TK's Inner Circle (pun intended) since AEW started. Sounds like it's more of giving official titles now similar to Mox. Speaking of Mox, he did an interview where he said his 3 years in AEW are best of his career and the next 5 are about giving back

More backstage roles is a great move for Jericho and for AEW. It seems like he's a good influence.

I'm not a fan of Jericho as a person (from what little I know of him) but you can't deny the job he's done for AEW. He's had a couple of rough patches in the company but he's turned it around and genuinely seems to want the best for the company.

A year ago I would've hated this news, he honestly looked finished, but him stopping drinking and losing a load of weight has done him wonders.
He's been great in 2022 and is now someone I look forward to seeing wrestle again.

He has done everything there is to do in WWE. Even though he is with another company, he is still on good terms with WWE and the Hall of Fame will be waiting on him when his time in the ring has come to an end.

Personal stuff aside, Jericho's put in the work with AEW and really committed to it. Yeah his booking's been kinda overbearing at times, but the man is all in on this job and he's not treating Tony like an easy paycheck money mark like some guys would have done jumping to TNA in the day. It kind of seems more and more like "Jericho will finish hiscareer in a WWE ring" is slipping away. Especially now that Triple H is booking the whole thing.

3 years is more than enough time for Jericho to turn face, then turn heel to reinvent himself again. This is probably the final chapter of the in ring career of Jericho, but it might turn out be one of the best chapters.

Jericho is a great asset to the younger guys, can still do Fozzy (ew), and wrestle on occasion. Honestly, as much love as I give Mox, I feel like Jericho has been more important to AEW. Sure he's had some dud stuff from time to time, but he's been huge in a lot of development.

Legit, every single penny spent on Chris was earned. That first title run established a lot of legitimacy while Jericho provided a lot of memorable aspects to the product. The fact he’s going at the level he is, is crazy. Man’s determined to be one of the GOATs when he’s done.

I think he's suffering from overexposure in AEW, same as Mox is, but that's more points in the "He's reliable, and one of Tony's boys" category.
Jericho and Regal alone are worth their weight in gold as both producers and trainers.

Solid news. I have no idea what Jericho pitches or suggests behind the scenes, but my gut feeling is that he should be at the tippy top of their creative structure. Sometimes some of his own stuff is cheesy, but I have a feeling that he's a guy who is always scouting for the "next" good idea.

Lionheart has worked his ass off the past 6 months or so. Hopefully he can ride this through and retire as an AEW guy.
For all the stuff Kahn has missed on, signing Jericho and starting Dynamite with him as champ was a big time move.
