I remember seeing this commercial back in the day and pestering my mom and dad to get the Hogan and JYD action figures.

I was too young to have experienced the LJN heyday. Hasbro was my era. I remember renting the Coliseum Video tapes and just rewinding the beginning over and over to see the WWF Figures commercials. www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAFdjyO3jE0

I remember picking the Hulk Hogan LJN over a Masters of the Universe figure at Wal-Mart. That Christmas I got like 10 additional figures and had me a lot of battle royals in the drawer of the bathroom vanity.

I first saw the "hold" commercial on the back of I think Volume 12 Best of WWF. It was like right after the show ended and I was used to taking the tape out but the commercial quickly came on and I thought it was so cool. That first Hasbro series commercial with Jesse was so great, PERFECT! Such an awesome time to be a fan. I got most, if not all of the hasbros when they first came out but around 1994 going to flea markets I loved the LJNs much more.

So THAT is the first line of that jingle.

That's Mick Foley that Kamala is splashing in the opening moments.
God, I loved these toys. If I had a time machine, one of my first stops would be a Toys R Us in 1987 or '88.

I honestly always thought the lyrics were "if depression's got a hold on you."

I honestly always thought the lyrics were "if depression's got a hold on you." This is the only way I'll ever hear it now. "Honey, how did therapy go today?" "Um, she said I should buy Wrestling Superstars toys from LJN."

Now that I think more about it, Brunzell's thick accent really took over this commercial. I always thought he said, "When you're friends, they've got a hold of you." And then he continued with "You'll have all Da Trills, All Da Fun."
