For as much as we talk about the infamous Chamber of Horrors match, one thing I either completely forgot or had no idea about is that - kayfabe - Elvira herself built the Chamber of Horrors.
Elvira had been a fixture of the advertising in all the previous Halloween Havoc events, and so when this popped up on a Halloween VHS mixtape I was watching, I was gobsmacked:

Buff Bagwell's grandparents helped create the Judy Bagwell on a pole match.

I f***ing love Elvira. Have since I was a kid.
Then she came out, and I was like f*** YEAH and loved her even more.
I love how she can slot into just about any form of media and work.

Did you know she had a pilot for a show at one point... (for NBC I think) It was about Elvira and another woman as a pair of witches with their cat familiar, the pilot partially focused on their niece that was raised by nuns coming to live with them and learning that she was also a witch. Elvira's character was the main focus and she was written well like you'd expect. It was basically guaranteed to be picked up but the head of programming had like a heart attack and was in the hospital during the week were programming was finalized... and the guy they replaced him with didn't like the show and it's sexual innuendo based humor so they passed. The show was retooled... the focus was shifted from the Aunts and to the Niece character... and repitched to ABC sans Elvira... that show... "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" Elvira was pissed, she didn't know for sure that happened until years later but suspected. That said having seen the pilot... it was pretty rough and I suspect it would have been a one season show if it did air.

Yeah, as I said Elvira for years had said it was a ripoff but I think it only came out recently that it was actually the case. and looking it up it was CBS not NBC.

I always liked her. Seems like a cool person IRL and I mean just look at her. Also thought she was the best of the female celebrity commentators at Wrestlemania II although that's not saying much with dull Cathy Lee Crosby and Susan "uh oh" James. I wonder if her and Jesse Ventura went out on their date. I always laugh at Jesse going "You better knock it off or I won't go out with you later!" when she was starting to get horny for Tito Santana.

Elvira is a cool character always having fun. She’s still as beautiful today both in and out of character as she was 40 years ago.
