You know I've never tried it.
In England our Halloween and/or Bonfire night snack is treacle toffee.
I've seen it in American TV shows.
Someone american explains what it tastes like.

I might have to check that out again. Haven’t listened to his stuff in years, because man is it dated. It’s still excellent but it’s really a snapshot in time and not something you can listen to in 2022. I saw him live and he added a bit about going to target and finding not just Candy Corn... but.. BREAKFAST DELIGHTS Candy Corn. He then stopped and went... you know that's how I know i'm in New York... EVERYWHERE ELSE in the country that immediately gets a groan of disgust... but it takes a lot to get you guys... then he listed off the flavors and when he got to like Scrambled Eggs and Bacon the crowd did audibly wretch... without missing a beat he went "THERE IT IS!"

Lewis Black had an old bit about candy corn that I really appreciate. I honestly thought that's where the anti candy corn sentiment comes from. Before that, I don't remember anyone complaining about candy corn.

I have a theory that all the candy corn was made at once in the 1940s and it's just been recycled.

Speaking of candy corn, a VTuber just recently tried making candy corn... pizza. And the finished product:

I like candy corn. It's also one of the few genuinely Halloween candies. You can get Snickers any day of they ear. Candy corn and Autumn mix is specific to Halloween. It may be one of the least popular candies when compared to stuff that is available year round but at the end of the day it's candy. As a kid I certainly was never picky about candy.
