I'd have to wonder how different things would have been if he and Goldust had the Miami Street Fight originally planned for Mania instead of Piper being in that role. With Shawn winning at Mania though, there was still the possibility there for Razor to have a heel turn (even if a short one) to feud with his friend (because lets face it, keep in in the Kliq like they did with Shawn/Diesel). Have him say he's going back to being "The REAL Bad Guy", show some of the asshole he was like when he went after WWF Champion Bret in 93. The Miami Street fight match I think would have one moment or two where Vince would say: “This is getting out of hand.” Maybe Scott and/or Goldust would do something that isn’t PG like excessive violence and/or they would do something a little obscene. Remember this was 1996 when WWE was starting to churn out more and more adult content.

I think fans were wondering if he would ever do more than compete in the midcard. You see that a lot with talents nowadays. If someone is at a certain level long enough, the fans lose faith they'll ever become something more. In hindsight, I think he would've been a better option than Diesel in 1994.

Oddly enough Razor turning heel and teaming with Diesel as the WWF version of the Outsiders would have been pretty cool, especially as you could cycle either one into big singles programs when the right feud came about.

I wasn't watching at the time but with hindsight I thought this gimmick sucked out loud all along
