Reports seemed to be that Owens is still expected to be there tonight so maybe he’ll be able to work the match still.

What if Kevin Owens tripped over a bald eagle in the hallway and broke his leg and that's how Cody Rhodes returned

It's interesting that while Drew and KO would probably usually be considered bigger stars Sheamus is the team captain and front and center on the poster. He deserves it after the run of form he's had this year. Hopefully he leads his team to victory here then we get Roman/Sheamus for the title at the Rumble.

Finally Reigns and Sheamus can have the banger we’ve actually already seen them have, just now crowds may be a bit more appreciative of it.
(TLC 2015, for those playing along at home)

So what happened for the Bloodline and lads to have such a blood feud that War Games was necessary?

Interesting that Fella is the captain and front and center over McIntyre and Owens both of whom have been pushed more in recent years. Looks like they are playing their hand as to what Roman's next feud is going to be.

The argument could be made that Bayley has mattered more to the women’s division overall than Sheamus has to the men’s division. Plus, she’s already been feuding with Bianca since Summerslam and this is a continuation of that program while Rhea was doing her own thing until a couple weeks ago and is being transitioned into a program with Bianca. A better comparison (and an annoying one) may be the year Becky was champion but Nikki Bella was captain. That happened, right?

Wouldn't the better comparison be War Games 2020, where Candice was the Team Captain and focal point, yet the one who came out as the major player afterwards was Raquel.

Dunno, I haven’t watched NXT in two or three years. But it would depend on what Candice was doing leading up to War Games. We’re talking about who’s the logical captain going into the match, not what happens during or after.

Difference is though Bayley is who I expected to be captain so it's not a surprise. She's been feuding with Bianca for months and been pushed as a bigger player in the division then Rhea has. Rhea is being pushed as a big deal now but just recently and also hasn't been involved in the women's division the last several months.

This is the first Survivor Series to me that genuinely feels like a "big 4" PPV in quite a few years. They produced some good matches but I hated the champion v champion thing. If it was at Night/Clash of Champions then great but it just made no sense to me for those matches to happen at Survivor Series.
The main event is maybe my most anticipated match of the year. The stuff has been so good on TV and there's so much interesting stuff they can do in this match to keep the hype going into Rumble/Mania season. The women's WarGames should be great too and Rhea is going to look like a beast in there. After all these years finally a big AJ v Finn match with actual build. Not really feeling Ronda/Shotzi. I'm happy Shotzi is getting this opportunity and hope she surprises people but I have a feeling it could be a rough match. Hopefully they add a classic elimination match to finish off the card.

So, Candice was the captain of her team heading into that match with her recruiting Dakota & Raquel and a recently-turned Heel Toni Storm.

Unpopular opinion, but I think the Vipers will lose to the Visionaries in a clean sweep

Unpopular opinion, but I think the Vipers will lose to the Visionaries in a clean sweep I would have to agree. I don't think Jake is going to be too effective with him being blind in one eye and I can't see anyone being able to take down The Warlord.
