Oh, I'm 24, but fortunately I'm Canadian, so I skate on the "14 is legal, so long as you're not in a position of authority" law. I'm pretty sure "unfunny jackass on Internet message board" is not, in any way, authoritariative. Now wait just a minute. An unfunny jackass is a very prestigious position. Some aren't funny, some are jackasses. But you've got to have that certain "it" factor to pull it all together to be an unfunny jackass. That's one of those things which is not quite a compliment and not quite an insult. Thanks...I think.

What I don't get is, how come the kids' (Kirsten Dunst and that boy) parents are alive at the end of the movie? How did the events of the gameplay in the beginning of the movie affect them like that?

Well because the Paris shoe company hadn't closed down in the alternate future at the end. Thus the kids' father started to work for the company before the accident was going to happen, something that didn't happen before.
And then, Alan and Sarah stopped the death from happening by demanding that they not go on the vacation.
