The catalyst to the greatest thread in forum history that did not involve the coward Jose Lothario.

We had some fun at his expense here at times, but he died far too young.

Now I'm curious. Is this the guy who had some sunny(ish) days?

Truly deeply sad.
Todd Fulkerson was the type of special character you'd want to see and then be happy to see at shows or out and about. Super enthusiastic without being toxic, smile on his face, and something of a talent whisperer to help make any signing better (there's stories of photo ops at events where Todd would always be first in line and if the talent had sunglasses on, knew just how to persuade them to take them off for the remainder of the photos.)
We had fun with Todd, and Todd was in on it laughing *with* us. I think that's why that one Todd thread here was so endearing, it didn't come from a mean spirited place but rather reveling in the absurdity.
Seeing the tributes today, even as a Todd fan and friend, I didn't realize quite the impact he's had on Convention and Nostalgia culture. Some pretty prominent retro media accounts have credited Todd for both welcoming them at events as well as inspiring them to seek out and share these fun rarities that warm the core of our fandom and remind us why we're fans and why it's a community.
RIP Todd.

I just came here to make a thread but it's been done. I communicated with Todd for over 20 years via his website and facebook. I consider him a friend. He lived every day to the fullest and I'm grateful for that. It's just a shame he left too soon.

How many hours do you have to spend on PH to get a new car from them? 🤣 I know he had a GoFundMe to try to get a new car since he had serious health problems and ran into trouble. I assume it got enough attention that they wanted to throw him a bone to launder their reputation to be nice. With said health problems, not shocked he has passed away, I knew he'd been sick a while. Hope he got to pass in comfort.

I was just thinking a few days ago about our friend Rick (from Star Archive/Tiger) message board in the early 2000s. He died from cancer around 2014 or 15. I had lost touch with him after years of chatting but saw Todd posting on his facebook then and found out. Now Todd's gone.
Years ago my father did a sports card show and was seated next to Virgil. He had Virgil talk to me on the phone and I came to see him the next day. Virgil did a voice message for Todd's phone saying "This is Todd's phone, leave a message or I'll kick you in the nuts."
I know he had been in poor health the last few years and our message were very sparingly and he would mostly reply with a few word answers but I'm still pretty surprised.
Todd's whole life was autographs. He worked to live and lived doing what he loved. His autograph site was one of the first I ever saw and really got me heavy into collecting as he would post such detailed reports of meet and greets.

Todd was an entertaining guy. I laughed at the promo he did with Scott Steiner in 2012 where even Scott was confused at what Todd said.
RIP.

He posted on twitter 11/18 about an order from Taco Bell/Door Dash being cancelled. It was for 5 enchiritos and 4 tacos, 1 nacho bell grande, 3 cinnamon twists and 15 sauce packets. LOL. It reminds me of the Dairy Queen wrestler order.

I hope Impact Wrestling airs the clip of him getting an autograph from Dixie in tribute.
