I'm so hopelessly addicted to this movie, I've paid to see it twice (thrice counting a ticket for another person), so I was finally like, y'know, I've got a computer, I've got an iPod, and I can go buy AV cables for it. Needless to say, I downloaded it in MP4, hooked that bad boy up to my tv...and, well, proceeded to watch Spidey 3 in stunning LD (Low Definition)! With the exception of the Marvel logo, allll of the colors were all washed out, and everything was just generally very dark, you couldn't really even SEE Symbiote Spidey or Venom. It was pretty bad. But I watched all of it anyway I think it's time for an intervention. I may be addicted to this film. (yes I know I'm a nerd)

I've of two minds about it. I really enjoyed it, warts and all, as a movie, however if I let myself go all comic geek dissection for a bit on it, I find that I didn't like it as much as I do as a simple film.
I had a lotta fun w/ it though.

As far as comic book geeking out over it, I was surprised at how very little I managed to do that.
I was just like, happy to see Venom there, and I try to keep in mind that y'know, he can "blend in" and all. I thought everything was pretty well handled.
And the origin of Venom scene being just like the original manner in which it happened, I marked out sooo hard.
I've managed to turn my brain off and enjoy a LOT of films (I mean, c'mon dude, I even like the Fast and the Furious films, they're great popcorn flicks to just chill out and watch), and this one, I dunno, I just adore it. I'm probably in the minority that liked it better than the last two.

Exactly. That's kinda what I'm saying, and yes the church scene was quite badass.

I thought it was certainly enjoyable, but not quite as "epic" as the second one. I friggin' LOVE Spidey 2.
I really really liked Venom, wish they had more of him in there.

They did Venom well. He was taken straight from the era I really cared about the character, and Topher was great.

I've really loved them all, but I guess my fan-dom of the symbiote suit and seeing it in movie form really sold me on this one.
Although considering the pattern here, whenever Spidey 4 comes out I'll probably be nerding out over it just like I have with this one. Happened with me and Spidey 2, so it just seems to be like, "OMG THIS MOVIE IS AWESOME!" (new movie comes out) "OMG THIS MOVIE IS AWESOME!!!"

Um...there is going to be a Spidey 4, right?
I know it was rumored that someone confirmed up to six of them, but I don't know if that was legit or not.

Heh.
The one thing I wish is we'd have gotten a bit more of black suited goodness before we went to Venom, that felt a bit ( understandably) rushed.

I'm playin the game on PS2 right now. Not bad thus far. Campbell is back on the narration, so that's groovy.

Yeah, there's gonna be a Spidey 4. It just hasn't been written yet.
Yeah, and I felt we should've had more Venom. So basically, 3 should've been the Black Suit, and 4 should've been Venom. But it's a decent picture, regardless.

That is one issue I have with it, As cool as Sandman was, and as good a job as Church played him, you'd could almost cut him completely out and the movie wouldn't really change THAT much.

Yeah, I really really liked the Sandman in this movie, he was a villain I never really cared much for, or really cared much about, but much like Dr. Octopus in Spidey 2, it kinda painted Sandman in a different light for me, made him likable.
Although with the exception of Harry, the villains really seemed like an afterthought.

Well, given that none of the villains really had a whole lot of screentime, I think the point Raimi was going for was that, under certain circumstances, Spider-Man's worst villain is...himself.

Alot of people crapped on Pete's 'tony manero strut' sequence, but I found it hilarious.
