After last night, I want Sami to be the one to beat Roman. There's just more emotion behind it than Cody winning. The pop would be historic. Cody Rhodes is becoming the Sasha Banks of the men’s division. Not around and fans have worked themselves into a froth how they’re coming back and gonna made more powerful than god herself.

Just kind of tired of The Bloodline always winning everything even if it's finally at a 'Great Story, finally some progression" like my dudes this has been going since BEFORE THE PANDEMIC, I'm tired, lmfao I love Sami in the group though, and if the end game isn't him getting a huge push or moment then I'm gonna be even more pissed. Yeah except it hasn't been since before then. Roman didn't start this run until August 2020 and the stable itself wasn't really complete until May or June 2021.

The only rule for War Games I would change is the "Forfeit the match if you leave the cage" rule. You should be allowed to leave the cage to get more tables, or if you decide you want to wrap a steel chair around an opponents skull.

I get that they want that KO/Sami team bad but for me that’s the laziest option they could go with.
I’d book to have Sami be the one to dethrone Roman - he’s over like a god and it would be a great ‘mania moment’
Wasting that white hot overness on a lame KO/Sami reunion that will only last a couple of months till one of them turns would suck.

Zayn/Reigns for the title, Usos vs. Owens and a returning, healed-up Ezekiel (Elias' younger brother), who has forgiven and taken pity on KO.

1. That was some of the best damned storytelling WWE has done in ages. 2. Kevin Owens more than earned that receipt after all the shit he's done to Sami (he's a shitty kayfabe friend). 3. Cody being the one to dethrone Roman at WM feels EVEN MORE underwhelming now after all of this (unless it's Jey/The Usos that turn on Roman in the match, then okay). 4. This story works so well because it can go so many ways, and I hope this is the bridge to the final act of said story (and their stranglehold on all the belts). Like it's gonna be Cody/The Rock at WM, but damn is the front door wide open to a huge babyface Sami Zayn winning the title at WM moment. Shit, have Sami win the Rumble, and go from there. Tension, and paranoia for weeks. All your pissing and moaning means they’re doing the story right. I know what’s gonna happen. You know what’s gonna happen. You just want it right now. I feel sorry for your girlfriend/wives. This post deserves to be the "I worked out for 3 months and am as jacked as Ricky Starks" of the WWE section I STILL haven't gotten my "pics or it didn't happen" proof yet.

For as much people talk about KO deserving it, Sami is going to have to do some major apologizing when he turns babyface. Them eventually turning on him is not really going be enough to swipe everything he has done under the rug

Thinking about it, as of now there’s upsides to any of the three out of Cody, Sami or Rock challenging Roman.
Rock if he can fit it in a schedule and he’s physically ready is the clear choice if WWE wants the biggest gate, whereas Cody has a personal story and specific stated want for the world title already. Sami right now is a great pic if Cody comes back and Sami is still or even more over (and say if Rock can’t pull it off).
But they need to start putting in the seeds now that Sami wants at least one of those belts, otherwise I can see KO and the tag titles being the end game because most of the real tension is with Sami and Jey, not Sami and Roman.

Even with the benefit of how great WrestleMania 30 was I still pretty much look back on nearly everything with the Authority and the Bryan / Orton feud as completely godawful television, so even if they do somehow stick the landing on this crap I'll still hate everything that's come before it.

Sami/KO vs. the Usos and Roman vs. Rock are the two matches I’m hoping for at Mania. The Rock being family makes it easier to tell an actual compelling story with the feud (rather than legend vs. current star), which is why I’d want that match over the Cody match. Cody vs. Reigns would be great as well but there’d be a lot more work to do on the story aspect to get it to the same level.

Cody Vs Roman Night 1 for the WWE title. Roman Vs The Rock for the Universal title. The last two you could switch nights honestly. I think Cody’s taking one of his belts and Roman’s keeping the other against The Rock.

I feel like the story for Roman vs. Cody would not be that hard to do.
He has the “wrestling family” aspect like Roman does. Cody has that “I left here a midcarder and made myself into a top guy around the world before returning” thing to contrast with Roman’s “chosen one” status. And you have the natural emotional story of him trying to win the title that his father (and older brother) never did win.

I think Cody’s taking one of his belts and Roman’s keeping the other against The Rock. That’d be my ideal Mania booking at this point. Jey can’t fake his lack of Uceyness and after one screwup too many, he turns the rest of the Bloodline against Sami and the underlings take out both Sami and KO in one segment. That saves room for Roman to focus on Cody and the Rhodes/Anoa’i buildup (Cody respects Roman’s family but he wants the WWE belt to honor his dad, Roman puts over Dusty but is still kind of a dick about it and brags about his clan). Rock is disgusted by the Bloodline being dicks as of late and wants to beat up Roman and take a belt. From there I’d do one of the big women’s matches on Night One (probably Ronda/Becky and Bianca/Flair, assuming no unifications) and Cody/Roman on Night One, with KO/Zayn vs Usos and Rocky/Roman the next night. Cody wins the WWE title, and after the Usos drop their belts, now he’s got mad pressure to shut Rock up and prove he’s still the chief before he loses everything.

According to Fightful, Roman was shoot heated after the match:
"Despite winning WWE's first main roster WarGames match, Roman Reigns wasn't too pleased upon returning backstage after the match.
Fightful Select has learned that Roman Reigns was visibly upset after the Survivor Series main event, specifically about a spot within the match. It was rumored among those that we spoke with that Reigns took exception to what he perceived as an unplanned spot between he and Kevin Owens. As he walked backstage, he mentioned possibly having a ruptured ear drum, and wanted the spot to go as originally planned. The exclamation was said to have been "expletive filled" and it was clear to everyone that Reigns wasn't happy.
Those that we spoke with didn't believe there would be any extended heat in regards to the situation, and that it seemed like more of a "heat of the moment" reaction, but that's only their perception of things. We haven't heard if a physical altercation that we'd learned of, and talent that we heard back from said that they expected the two to be able to coexist for work purposes. Another put over both Reigns and Owens as passionate about what they do and figured if there were issues, they'd end up talking about it directly. Reigns did not appear at the post-show press conference as planned."
As a side note, I find the way Sapp writes these things so funny. "Despite winning the War Games match" as if winning a scripted wreestling match would somehow make a guy ecstatic when heading backstage.

It was absolutely phenomenal storytelling and a great angle played well by all parties involved.
But the main event also showed how poor they are at having strong faces to face Reigns. The only person on the other team that really mattered for the story of the match was Owens. Otherwise the faces were all just background fodder for the Bloodline story.

Dude had every right to stop the ref from counting the pinfall and it was a no DQ match, no rules against taking a dude on the opposing team to Dick Kick City.
