They are still in their first era. It's only been 3 years.

They are still in their first era. It's only been 3 years. Feels like 9 but regardless up until the last few shows AEW has felt like an entirely different product from the first year/year 1/2

This divides them up so much that I don't know if era is the right word so I'm trying arcs:
2019-early 2020: Beginnings Arc Spring-Fall 2020: Moxley/Pandemic Arc Winter 2020-Winter 2021: Elite Arc Summer 2021-Present: CM Punk/MJF Arc
I kinda feel like looking at the overall big picture storyline the Elite arc goes a bit longer with Hangman's reign in hindsight as like an extended epilogue to the story (Hangman deserves better than to have his title reign just be an epilogue so hopefully next one goes better for the lunkheaded dumb f*** that CM Punk doesn't know what he did to deserve working with).

I think we'd still be in one very early era if the pandemic didn't happen. It's the defining moment of the last 15 years or so that affected just about every facet of society worldwide.

Yeah I think early 2020-summer 2021 has to be its own pandemic/no crowd era for every wrestling company (and sports too). It was just such an unprecedented time and even when looked back on in decades will still seem super strange.

They are still in their first era. It's only been 3 years. A lot can happen in 3 years. You could argue WCW in 95/96/97 are three entirely different eras. You could do the same with WWF in 96/97/98. I think we've seen a lot of companies sort of remain in a similar pace for many years but things can and often should switch up pretty often and that's especially the case here when you had a massive pandemic and a massive influx of talent.

I mean an era can be 3ish years... I mean look at like the New Generation which is generally considered 93-97 for WCW I think it'd be hard to argue those eras are anything but 93-like mid96 as the Hulkamania redux era, followed by the NWO Era.. with a little overlap because that's how all era's work.

They haven't existed long enough to have eras but if you insist I think you have Cody Era then Nody Era then Punk Era and we just started the Nunk Era

Is it too early to call this the MJF Era?
