In some ways, I think he'll be remembered like Warrior. A difficult to deal with asshole dickwipe narcissist who was also undeniably over. That's a great comparison. Not perfect, but only because a perfect one doesn't exist. Like I don't expect to see Punk at a college campus ranting about the gays or bashing a city after it was hit by a hurricane or anything, but still, the general points are spot on.

I'll remember him as someone who didn't want to work with children.

I think the Warrior comparisons in here are a bit much, to be honest. Warrior did nothing but cause problems. Nobody had nice things to say about Warrior. Like him or not, some of the younger guys in AEW were highly complimentary of Punk. It’s not an apples to apples comparison.
He f***ed up in a very public setting and we still have no feel for what week to week was going on. I think it’ll be hard to actually gauge what happened until the books about AEW’s first years get written.
Again, he was wrong, but Punk has contributed far more to the world of pro wrestling than Warrior. So long as he just keeps doing what he’s doing now, he’ll be fine.

Despite his shitty attitude and the bad end, he’s still on my short list of favorite wrestlers of all time.
I’ve learned, to be a wrestling fan, you kind of have to accept that the majority of wrestlers, past, present and future, are not the best people in the world, and that is obviously putting it mildly. I can still enjoy Shawn Michael’s matches despite his asshole past, same with Bret, same with Ric Flair and his antics. Hogan and his racism. I can watch and enjoy Chris Jericho despite his weirdness outside the ring and his politics which I hate. I can still watch and respect Jim Cornette from his years as a great manager, despite me losing all respect for him now. Hell, I’ve gotten to the point where I can watch Chris Benoit matches without thinking too much about him murdering his family. Maybe that reflects badly on me, but I can’t deny that I can accept a whole lot and having to have elite “separating art from the artist” skills to even enjoy watching wrestling.
In reality, we are all mad at Punk now, but if he comes back, in AEW or WWE, people will be mad to see him. People will probably boo. But the moment he cuts an amazing promo nor has a great match, then his goodwill returns. Just like in sports, right or wrong, winning cures all.

Basically f*** Neymar and Ronaldinho.

same as it was before his stint in a.e.w.
he's an incredibly talented wrestler, who at the same time is a massive asshole to anyone who he deems to have slighted him.
this is something we all saw before his wwe & aew runs, undeniable talent that would take him to the top of any company he worked for and the sheer pettiness and inability to let grudges go while building fresh grudges to hold in his mind.

The same as he's always been remembered.
A cry baby diva who thinks he's bigger than he is.
Outside of Chicago, he's just another guy. In his mind, he's The Rock, he's John Cena, he's Steve Austin.
AEW's ratings haven't gone up OR down since he's come and left. That says it all.
The MJF feud was good though and probably worth bringing him in for alone.

As much of a canker sore as he can be, let's not go pretending he wasn't demonstrably a draw for AEW when he was there.

A sloppier, somehow more bitter version of Bret Hart.

Ahh, he'll be alright. Nothing he did was that bad, compared to the usual stuff that cause people to leave this industry. He was just a gigantic asshole about it. There's a lot of money to be made by him just returning and being professional, but he'll probably just be a gigantic asshole about it again, so here we is. A sloppier, somehow more bitter version of Bret Hart. Bret Hart died for your sins, and this is how you repay him? 4/10

Maybe Christian Cage will make fun of his promos on a "documentary" in five years, too!
