Twenty-one years ago today we had the most momentous event in wrestling history: the infamous Booker T and Stone Cold brawl in the supermarket. Let us commemorate this historical moment.

I remember there was a guy on a Transformers forum who would just kind of bring this up, unprompted, in the off-topic subforum's wrestling thread at every opportunity. It was clearly the very last thing he'd ever watched in wrestling and he held it up as the greatest wrestling anything that ever happened.
It certainly holds up as one of the best out-of-the-ring brawls.

Probably one of the best comedy segments in wrestling history.

I didn't have cable at the time so the first time I saw it or even heard about it was on one of the late night B shows that came on at like midnight Saturday night. I was laughing uncontrollably and trying so hard not to wake my roommate. Just an absolutely brilliant segment. The fact that there was no PPV payoff match between the 2 in the era of monthly PPV's is mind blowing. Was there a televised blow off match between the 2 at least?

I love it for Austin's shit-talking during and in between spots.
("You wanna bake a cake? Let's bake a nice, fresh cake." *smacks Booker T with eggs and a bag of flour*)

Booker's reaction when he heard Austin open the can behind him was gold.

Green Frog Market in Bakersfield. Sadly it's closed now but that was Top 10 Greatest segments ever on Raw. Also makes me feel even older than I am realizing that was twenty-one years ago.

Booker attacking a bald guy from behind that he thought was Austin was amusing.
Also this from Austin:
"You have any Grey Poupon?!"
"Thanks, Book, you got milk?!"

Booker's reaction when he heard Austin open the can behind him was gold. At the height of covid restrictions I was sending a still of that around to friends, “Going for that last roll of toilet paper during quarantine be like…”

Booker and Austin’s comedic timing during those segments were impeccable.

I watch this segment every couple months, it’s still so f***ing funny. “Price check on a jackass” kills me every time

A co-worker of mine and I were both wrestling fans and we used to come up with creative places where someone could have a match, since hardcore wrestling was the big thing at the time, and we both worked at a grocery store. When this segment aired, it blew our minds because a lot of their spots were things we discussed.

And singing loudly and off-key): “HIT YOU IN THE EYE/LIKE A BIG PIZZA PIE/THAT’S AMORE!”

Booker's feud with Austin was full of glorious comedy moments like this.
We also have to include Booker T's "confession" in church and his trip to Bingo.
"Do we have a 3? 316?"
