I was reading Spike's dvd thread when I noticed he had the british comedy Black Books in his collection. I caught a few episodes on BBC America a couple months ago (along with the brilliant Spaced) and became a huge fan. I've been getting the series on Netflix and it reminds me how funny sitcoms can be when it's not dumbed down to people who like Jim Belushi.
Anyone else a fan of the show?

I have all 3 sereis on DVD. So yes I am a huge fan of the show.
I am also a huge fan of Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey stand up so I may be biased.
Oh and Spaced rules too.

I love the show.
I wonder if they are making any more episodes.
I loved it when Bernard and Manny had to write a children's book and they ended up making a 700 page espionage thriller but somehow they managed to cut the book down to 6 pages and it being about an Elephant that has lost it's balloon.

Then they burnt it because it was too good! Nope the three series are it, there will be no more according to Dylan Moran (Bernard) apparently.

Dylan Moran is a genius. I have a stand up set of his called "Monster" on my Set Top Hard Drive. It is brilliant.

I don't actually want any more series, I think they bowed out at the right time... I admire when that happens (see also Spaced, Green Wing and Fawlty Towers).

Great show, overkill on the canned laughter though.

Great show, found it because I liked Dylan Moran and so watched it during it's original run. Same goes for spaced, only I was young and bored.

I've never had time to see it. But since i like the same shows the rest of the crappers do maybe i should check this out.
Channel 4 definitely make the best comedy in the U.K though. Green Wing, Father Ted, Spaced, Peep Show, Adam & Joe are all excellent.

Black Books is awesome. Bill Bailey is of the funniest men ever. So is Dylan Moran. Spaced was also genius tv.

Never got into Spaced. I must be the only person alive who doesn't find Simon Pegg funny in any way whatsoever. Maybe if he did something that was actually funny I might find him funny.
Black Books was fantastic though. I could've sworn that I saw Tommy Tiernan playing the role of Bernard in an early pilot episode or something. Maybe I was wrong. Dylan Moran is much better suited to the role than Tiernan would've been anyway.
