Whether she has lost some of her athleticism or just is phoning it in a lot her in ring and charecter work has significantly declined. That also could just be the companies more hands on approach to her matches her 1st run because even her stuff with Nia was genuinely great, and that's someone who the 4HW and Asuka often had trouble just dragging a mid match out of. Also giving her an Untouchable long Heel run with sidekicks when they are already doing the exact same booking with Roman,Gunther is just overkill with the company.

What went wrong is that ronda:
Isn't charismatic
Isn't good at talking
Has bad attitude
Isn't exactly smart
Cant work matches very well
Is multiple years out of relevance

Remember that time Ronda came to the ring while Shotzi was in already in the ring, then Shotzi got on the mic and was like, "Ohh, hey Rooonda!!" then she try to beat her up but Ronda beat her up instead? I just like the way SHotzi said that is all.

Remember the odd make up and the smiling phase ? Good god this second run has been awful. The smiling thing was 100% Vince. It was a conversation he had with her on one of those "backstage at (insert name of PPV here)" specials they like to do. He basically told her to always smile, and that the fans loved it when she smiled. Something to that effect. Ronda got all blushy and bashful after, and you could see Vince stirring the kool-aid in real time.

One of Vince's ossifying ideas was that babyfaces always have to be smiling and happy.

I think they've treated her too much like one of the regulars and not enough like a special attraction. She's actually wrestled more than a good bit in the last few months.
I could also see her kind of being over wrestling, but I think the overexposure is really the problem. Her quality of opponent has dropped pretty dramatically, too.

I think it's a combination of two things. The first run was going very smooth but it's also been very clear that even in non-wrestling related stuff Ronda Rousey has the very thin skin and the fact that she got booed clearly got to her. I mean at survivor series 2018 she look like she was almost on the verge of tears when the audience was booing her. Second I think she had passion for the first year or so but Lost it after finally losing at WrestleMania 35 and at this point it feels like it's just a paycheck for her and that there's no enthusiasm for her at this point. It's a shame too because honestly she was a great worker the first year I mean she practically gave Nia jacks her best match but this point she's kind of seems to go through the motions or is just very inconsistent.

I’ve noticed in the pre match graphics, 90% of the time is Face: smiling Heel: scowling

Scary to think that Wrestlemania is still like four months away. Does anyone seriously care about her against Becky at this point? What should've been a huge match four years ago just feels so far from big time right now. Ronda has been terrible and they really haven't made Becky feel that special since she's come back in that she doesn't feel like the top star anymore and comes off more just like another woman on the roster; presented clearly behind Bianca on the face side on Raw and getting pinned by Bayley (who had lost to Alexa the week before) in a whatever match in the third hour before the main event with them just quickly cutting to the back afterwards like it was no big deal.
I doubt they will change course but even if they wanted to I don't know what they could do. There's really no one else on Smackdown that you could switch the title to that is Mania main event worthy. Rhea Ripley has by far the most steam on her on anyone on the roster but she's on Raw. Literally everyone else feels cold or isn't credible enough.

There's Asuka depending on how she's built up when she returns, but otherwise there really isn't anyone besides Becky. And it took interference and a foreign object to beat Becky on Monday, so odds are pretty good she'll run over Iyo and Dakota before beating Bayley again and going on to feuding with Ronda afterwards.

Honestly in hindsight, her second run really should have been based around a tag team title run with Bazler from the start. You have the latter to be the ring general, make Ronda's actual wrestling appearances more significant, and maybe eventually divert into a single focus after an extensive period.
For a variety of reasons she doesn't feel special anymore, and Ripley/Lynch feels much more like the money match than anything with Rousey.

Ronda was famous for being the best of a bad lot in UFC; an early women's champion at a time when women were _just_ starting out at the top and were swelling up the numbers at gyms and clubs far below. By the time Holly Holm took her title, the pool had widened and deepened and Ronda just couldn't keep up with the tide.
That's how Ronda got to WWE - as a "pioneer" in one sport but a few years out of the limelight and, even then, was not known for being particularly good overall. The promos exposed her as uncharismatic and not particularly intelligent, and her ringwork, while solid, isn't what fans would expect of someone with her reputation and background.

This isn’t personal, but goddamn this frustrates me because you and I both know that if Lynch had won that match, the conversation wouldn’t be “Lynch the big star”, it would be “Lynch the burial machine burying Bayley” and a dozen more posts in that Damage CTRL thread. One result is the difference between “Bayley berried again LOL” and “Lynch isn’t a big star anymore”. They’re damned if they do, damned if they don’t. And this is why these terms are overused, because it makes it LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE to book a f***ing wrestling show.

Becky I expect is gonna be losing alot more because.
1,She is pretty much immune to losses and even that was a hard protected loss on Monday.
2. Seth pretty much just said in an interview Becky's hollywood career is gonna be kicking off and that is what Becky is now eyeing towards.
That 4H era coming to its end was inevitbale but it seems to be coming alot sooner than alot probably thought...Sasha is gone , Charlotte is likely coming back on her last big run ,Becky is now eyeing hollywood according to Seth and that is about to take off for her and Bayley is helping all the next up and coming women starting with Dakota and Iyo.
As far as Ronda goes her first run was helped by alot of hand holding and now that she is trying to go at this all on her own with no choerographing her match beforehand it is exposing every single fault she has as a wrestler.

I feel like consistently the SmackDown Women's title carries with it this feel of, "Why even bother putting this on the Mania card?" The division almost always sucks and gets treated as an afterthought compared to the Raw one.

Even Wonder Woman and Supergirl suffers setbacks and get to be vulnerable once in a awhile.
