Just watched a match from Primetime against the Bolsheviks where Blair & Brunzell spent way to long messing with the masks under the ring to the point the time keeper rang the bell & then Gorilla had to cover for them on commentary by saying the bell had been inadvertently rung. Anyway what I'm saying is their mask gimmick was dumb.

I never got it either. I never understood why the ref wouldn't disqualify them? Or why they wouldn't just wear the masks from the start?

Their physiques weren't even similar, and Brian's hair stuck out of the bottom of the mask. I liked the Killer Bees, but they didn't need the mask gimmick.

I liked when they would tag with someone else and that person would wear a mask. They had a six man tag with Koko in mid 87 and sometime in 88 had an 8 man with Animal Steele and JYD on their team against the Conquistadors and Bolsheviks. I just saw it a few weeks ago, it was funny but with the mask gimmick it was more of a goofy thing than something a serious team would do. They deserved a small run with the tag titles but the gimmick was more of something along the lines of Animal or JYD level.

The mask thing was fun. Stupid, but fun. I feel like it extended their shelf life a bit, especially given that they weren't strong title contenders and the masks gave them a bit of a storyline.

When actually did the team form and at what point did the masks come into play?
Come to think of it, how did the team end? By Survivor Series '88 they were just separate mid card guys on different teams?

Loved these dudes as a kid, no clue why faces were masking up and cheating but it was over with young me, brother.
