I said what I said.
Not that Max isn't a great heel, but Swerve is on some next level shit with his whole vibe right now.

100% agree, Swerve is doing real heel shit, Max just spouts catch phrases and goes for the lowest dangling heel heat.

I will be immensely disappointed if for whatever reason Swerve isn't the next Big Bad top heel after MJF.

Swerve is pure money. Keith Lee is solid, Swerve you could build a company around

Swerve committed the most heinous act in AEW in 2022 when he kidnapped Daddy Ass and tried to stop him from scissoring ever again. It looks like the dude is being primed to be the top heel in AEW, and if he can get this stable with Baby Beastie Boy and Meth Lab Dude working, then he can be the Rudo of 2023.

This is not a knock against Max, who I also love as a performer, but...
MJF is a cartoon villain
Swerve is like the antagonist in an HBO series.

I wouldn’t go that far yet but MJF’s act does need freshening up a bit. Swerve is well on his way to being the Company’s No 2 heel though.

MJF at this point is "captain copy and paste" and it's boring. You could make a bingo card out of his promos and get a bingo every single time. They had the chance to evolve his character, but played it safe, and it's the same ol same ol.
Swerve has been ready for that next level for some time. Dude is just a natural heel, and does it so, so well.
I don't have faith in Tony Khan to recognize what he has here, and strap the rocket to him, but I'm damn sure willing to be proven wrong.

Highly disagreed. MJF’s current act does need a lil tinkering but he’s well and beyond Swerve in pretty much every single metric.
Swerves solo/heel run is going alright. He’s a very creative cat, and he’s starting to remind me of Bray. He’s one of those dudes who needs the reins pulled back occasionally. I dig his stuff even as weird as it tends to be.
Seeing how MA goes will be quite the test.

I personally find MJF to be a massively overrated cornball, so I agree.

I'd still rate MJF higher but do think Swerve has the potential to get there.

I still like MJF better, but Swerve went from a guy who seemed just like another dude to me too one that is absolute gold. Kudos on him for really rising to the occasion.

Yeah, I think that’s the goal. They’re definitely going to try and get Swerve on that level with MA.

MJF's promos anymore come off as him whining he didn't get the toy he wanted when he was five as we saw when Starks pointed out when eviscerating him.

Two completely different levels of scary:
Swerve has creepy, Batman villain vibes.
MJF is a try-hard, IWC theatre kid.

I'd put MJF higher for right now, but Swerve is still really goddamn good. I always liked the guy, but the moment he came into AEW, he just felt like the biggest deal he's ever been. He has presence and carries himself like a huge star, with the ring work to back that up. He's a slim guy, but his offense works with that.

MJF is a typical heel who can really turn it up when he has to and deliver some of the best promos around. Swerve is a lot more on creatively and can be a huge star in his own right.
