This angle in addition to being dumb, showing its age (which I will get too), it’s also something where you got to suspend disbelief.

First Jerry loses a Kiss My Foot match to Bret in Philadelphia. Jerry’s teeth were so bad that he went to the dentist the following day, filmed himself at the dentist and FedExed the tape to WWE Raw ALL IN ONE DAY! That FedEx driver must have been driving REALLY FAST for him to get to Raw that day.

Also, if this angle took place today, they would have had Jerry shoot a video and upload it to WWE.com. How times have changed.

It's hard to imagine that Vince looked at Jacobs and couldn't think of anything to do with him, so he opted to go for the comedy dentist character.
