Fundraiser is over three million now. Insane show of the good side of many people. Despite the horrid opinions of some irrelevant people tonight, the fact that so many people were able to come together for a good cause and to wish for Damar Hamlin to be alright helps to be reminded of the good in the world.

Fundraiser is over three million now. Insane show of the good side of many people. Maybe the most lopsided GoFundMe ever made, asked for 2.5K, and is now over 3 million and counting I pray he wakes up and sees the kindness so many worldwide have given him and the people he cares for most

Fundraiser is over three million now. Insane show of the good side of many people. Well itâs the universe correcting for that f***ing moron skip bayless. I donât like to say this and donât but he should be fired for that tweet? And I hope this put a chill on the hot take merchants who say things for shock value. Anyway I logged into gamepass early to see the highlights of the game and it wasnât there and I was confused but checked Twitter and it soon became clear why the game wasnât there and why it shouldnât be there. We all love this game but itâs times like last night where we are reminded there are more important things in life than football.

What I found from the NFL rule book. operations.nfl.com/the-rules/2022-nfl-rulebook/#rule17ARTICLE 3. GAME CALLED If the game must be called due to a state or municipal law, or by darkness if no lights are available, an immediate report shall be made to the Commissioner by the home club, visiting club, and officials. On receipt of all reports, the Commissioner shall make a decision which will be final.
ARTICLE 4. EMERGENCY SITUATIONS The NFL affirms the position that in most circumstances all regular-season and postseason games should be played to their conclusion. If, in the opinion of appropriate League authorities, it is impossible to begin or continue a game due to an emergency, or a game is deemed to be imminently threatened by any such emergency (e.g., severely inclement weather, lightning, flooding, power failure), the following procedures (Articles 5 through 11) will serve as guidelines for the Commissioner and/or the duly appointed representatives. The Commissioner has the authority to review the circumstances of each emergency and to adjust the following procedures in whatever manner the Commissioner deems appropriate. If, in the Commissionerâs opinion, it is reasonable to project that the resumption of an interrupted game would not change its ultimate result or adversely affect any other inter-team competitive issue, the Commissioner is empowered to terminate the game.
ARTICLE 5. LEAGUE AUTHORITY The League employees vested with the authority to define emergencies under these procedures are the Commissioner, designated representatives from the League office staff, and the game Referee. In those instances where neither the Commissioner nor the designated representative is in attendance at a game, the Referee will have sole authority; provided, however, that if the Referee delays the beginning of or interrupts a game for a significant period of time due to an emergency, the Referee must make every effort to contact the Commissioner or the Commissionerâs designated representative for consultation. In all cases of significant delay, the League authorities will consult with the management of the participating clubs and will attempt to obtain appropriate information from outside sources, if applicable (e.g., weather bureau, police).
ARTICLE 6. LATER DATE If, because of an emergency, a regular-season or postseason game is not started at its scheduled time and cannot be played at any later time that same day, the game nevertheless must be played on a subsequent date to be determined by the Commissioner.
ARTICLE 7. PRE-GAME THREAT If there is deemed to be a threat of an emergency that may occur during the playing of a game (e.g., an incoming tropical storm), the starting time of such game will not be moved to an earlier time unless there is clearly sufficient time to make an orderly change.
ARTICLE 8. INTERRUPTED GAME If, under emergency circumstances, an interrupted regular-season or post-season game cannot be completed on the same day, such game will be rescheduled by the Commissioner and resumed at that point.
ARTICLE 9. ALTERNATE DATES, SITES In instances under these emergency procedures which require the Commissioner to reschedule a regular-season game, the Commissioner will make every effort to set the game for no later than two days after its originally scheduled date, and will attempt to schedule the game at its original site. If unable to do so, the Commissioner will schedule it at the nearest available facility. If it is impossible to schedule the game within two days after its original date, the Commissioner will attempt to schedule it on the Tuesday of the next calendar week in which the two involved clubs play other clubs (or each other). Further, the Commissioner will keep in mind the potential for competitive inequities if one or both of the involved clubs has already been scheduled for a game following the Tuesday of that week (e.g., Thanksgiving). So its supposed to be no more than 2 days later, but lets be real here. New England started preparing for Buffalo on Monday morning, ditto for Baltimore preparing for the Bengals. The commissioner has the final say in the matter, so I guess we'll just see what happens.

I get people can just screencap it for clout and shit but if what he's said has been misconstrued so hard he needed to publicly apologize and it's still getting run into the ground, then delete the f***ing tweet if you're really sorry, you're only drumming up more drama by leaving it there imo.

I dunno, I think it's important that even if you don't like someone - it's fine to say that they did nothing wrong in a specific situation. Without qualifying it. If you read Skip's tweet, and the two he posted immediately before it... it's abundantly clear he wasn't being insensitive. The reaction to it has been bizarre.

I absolutely loathe skip from way back in his days before even cold pizza but really along with the five minute thing, I think we need to take a step back, realized this is uncharted territory and just hope this dude is alright.
Yes skip sucks, he plays a character on tv and the nfl is about the shield over anything else but not everything has to be super punch out irl.
You have a case of some dude who has been spewing hot takes for decades (ask Charles Barkley how he feels about him) & a league that was sure as shit not gonna send a full stadium out in a panic without properly addressing the situation, evil and corporate as they may be. Chill, hope for the best and go from there.

Such a scary situation. Keep Praying since the last I heard he was still in critical condition. I hate the fact people using to push an agenda on social media. I'm like a young man is fighting for his life and you want to talk about your theories. The only thing that matter is him right now.

If I can defend football for a second, cardiac arrest could happen to anyone at anytime, this is not really a football thing.
As for the game, it is just about seeding, both teams have their playoff spots, if it was about making the playoffs for one or both teams, I wonder if the league would be more desperate to get the game. If this happened earlier in the seasons, I think they would have found a way to resume this game at some point.

Thatâs whatâs most important. I think people, like myself, just werenât in the mood to read some speculation on the game with the concern tacked on at the end. Was it probably just the last straw for him after a few bad weeks? Probably. I think people are just fed up with his shtick. I responded to him on Twitter in a way that ended up getting far too much attention and resulted in a bunch of weird personal attacks against my appearance, reading comprehension, etc. so I deleted it. Twitter is just a cesspool in general these days.

Yes cardiac arrest could happen at any time but no f*** the NFL for even thinking about resuming this game. Those players last night most likely feared the worst had happened there should have never been a single thought that they still play. This wasn't someone tearing an acl this was life or death and for the players and spectators that's extremely traumatizing. But honestly I shouldn't expect better from the NFL, they are the same league that wanted to play Sunday football after 9/11 happened and only after Vinny, Herm, the Jets, NY Gov and other owners, etc told the league no we can't nor will play this Sunday did they cancel the week

The game was rightly called off. There is no need to look for people to abuse around this event.

No, he shouldnât be fired but his tweet hit me wrong after Iâd seen the statement by the bills and seen footage of the hit and the looks on the players faces and the aftermath. He and nobody else should have been thinking about playoffs or anything like that at the time. It wasnât important.

The game was rightly called off. There is no need to look for people to abuse around this event. Yeah. The thing is that itâs probably important to have people on hand who focus on business matters even in a crisis. Thereâs probably even someone whose very job is to present options focusing on the business during a crisis. - To be fair to those people, they are in a pickle. If the game occurred early in the season thereâs plenty of opportunities to make it up. - If itâs a game between the Jets and the Raiders, you can simply cancel the game, call it a draw, or assign a winner based on who was in the lead or by a coin toss. Unfortunately, a decision will have to be made regarding this game and made soon. Thatâs because the outcome of this game actually has an impact on the playoffs, a multi-billion dollar venture for the business. Sure, no one wants to hear that shortly after the tragedy, but that does not change the reality of the situation. The only quick fix is if one of the teams forfeit, but again, that decision needs to be made soon.
