Punk vs Jeff was easly the best feud 09. The first really awesome Cm Punk Feud in WWE and he was a Main Eventer for some months at that point, later had his Feud against Taker. I wouldn't say Jeff really made Punk because Punk basically was the better in every Promo they had.
MJF on the other hand can mess with Punk on the Mic. Probably is even better than him these days. I really liked Punk/MJF too but overall it hasn't had the same Impact as Punk vs Jeff.

MJF/Punk by a country mile and not sure enough time has passed to fairly assess whatever long-term impact it might have had. I mean, it was clear from All Out's ending that MJF/Punk was meant to continue into Winter and would've, presumably, seen MJF's coronation at Punk's expense.
Punk/Jeff was Punk's tour de force in he pretty much carried the feud all by himself.

Punk/Jeff was Punk's tour de force in he pretty much carried the feud all by himself. I wasn't watching WWE during that time and that is the one feud I regret missing at the time. The matches were great of course but from what I seen also I love the layers to it. Like Punk isn't necessarily wrong in that feud with what he says about Jeff but he still comes off in kayfabe as a smug self righteous asshole hiding under a holier than holy personality. It's a great example of how to have people of two different personalities and make a angle of it. Punk vs MJF is a hell of a feud and maybe the best feud I have seen in years along with Roman vs Braun (I am serious on that one because I love the old school intensity between two guys who just hate each other). The promo battles were great, the two naturally click with each other and the matches were amazing. It just a damn shame we never will probably never get a actual conclusion to the feud after the all out cliffhanger.

MJF vs. Punk is, for my money, the best storyline in AEW's relatively short history. That's not even a knock on Punk vs. Jeff at all.
Regarding Punk vs. Jeff, I feel like people like to point out "Punk was right all along" due to Jeff's ongoing battle with addiction, but he was still the heel in that feud and definitely still in the wrong. He furthered the stigma that just because someone is an addict means they're undeserving of our love or support. He further trivialized substance abuse. He was by far the villain in my book.

Yeah it is a great example to me at least of while he does have legitimate points, he is still coming off as a judgmental asshole. It is a example where you can see where exactly the villain is coming from but not negating the fact he is still the bad guy.
