Now that the year is done, how did WWE do in 2022?

Despite a great Wrestlemania the early part of the year was absolutely dire.
Thankfully things have picked up since Vince got canned. The shows have been a lot more fun since if not perfect. Went for a B-

PLE’s after the rumble were excellent. TV was hit or miss for both HHH and Vince, but the bloodline with Sami has picked it up

B.
It was a year of two halves. The first half of the year, Mania aside, was dire. The second half, while not perfect, has been solid for the most part.

C-.
Some occasional great booking moments (and a fun NXT) that was punctuated by absolute f***ing shite.

I went with a C. PLEs were pretty fun all year except for a few duds like the Rumble. TV though was a slog for a lot of the year (NXT largely excluded). Even with the transition from Vince to Hunter, weekly TV went from generally bad to generally fine but largely boring. So WWE is largely fine now but it hasn't really set my world on fire.

I don't get it. At all. It's kind of a small horse, I mean what am I missing? Am I crazy?

The 2nd half of the year has me more optimistic in the company than I've been in a long time

An optimistic C+. The bigger shows often had really good wrestling, and while I wouldn't say the post-Vince product is phenomenal television, it's still a dramatic improvement over the last few years of McMahon's garbage.
That said, the first half of 2022 still factors into things and as much as I'd like to just grade 2022 on Triple H's new era, it'd be like grading a test ignoring the first half isn't even completed. So the dying gasps of Vincecrap stinks up the grade. But the C+ is an optimistic one because A. it's the best grade I've given WWE's overall product in years, and B. it's hopeful that 2023 will be even better.

C sounds right for me. There are some things that annoy me, but I think things are mostly better.

C+ for the ppv's (as that's all I've watched.) would have been a B- if they hadn't screwed up the ending of clash at the castle (not an anti roman post, but Drew winning that night made the most sense with the build, the location, the crowd.).

It’s weird and crazy to me that despite AEW & WWE being so vastly different and both having their respective ups and downs, when I assess my enjoyment for both throughout the year..yeah. It’s a very conservative “B” for both.

C+. The second-half of the year's been more interesting with the on-screen product quality, but I'm hoping The Bloodline's dominance finally ends at Mania in 2023, even as entertaining as the stable's been due to Sami Zayn.
NXT's fun as always.
