Hmmmmmmm....well for starters, I have an affinity for 1983-84. Could be because that was the last year I lived in my original home before moving to where I've been ever since. He-Man and Inspector Gadget began then. It was the first time I saw The Raccoons. Some legendary game shows were still on, or began (Press Your Luck, Sale of the Century, Scrabble, the syndicated Wheel of Fortune) and there were lots of short lived ones that I liked too (Hit Man, Match Game/Hollywood Squares, Hot Potato...) NBC in 1983 was pretty much a short lived show haven of course. And I was discovering older shows through reruns. As far as cartoons/children, the local channels had Superfriends, Scooby-Doo, Tom and Jerry, Popeye, and Looney Tunes. The Magic Garden was ending its reruns on WPIX.

When you can keep Nickelodeon on all day long and not complain. Aha, so mid-late '80s (Pinwheel, regular Nick, then Nick at Nite. Yeah, the complete package)

See now that I think of it, I start to break things down by the time of day/certain blocks.
Examples: 1982-1986 would be my favorite Saturday Morning schedules in general.
Early 90s weekday afternoons, Fox Kids (B:TAS, Animaniacs, and MMPR were around then...)
Late 80s, late afternoon/evening (WCWSN, and don't laugh...Sabado Gigante...)
Late 90s to about 2001... late night Saturdays (go over to WLNY, watch WWF Metal/Shotgun, usually after would be some edited for content horror movie)
Some time in the early 2000s -- 2002? -- Adult Swim (was it considered so then?) had a late night block of both Batman and Superman: The Animated Series, then Challenge of the Superfriends, and lastly, Popeye.
Game Show Network, summer of 1997. That is all.
Late 80s USA Sundays: Cartoon Express, then All-American Wrestling.
Speaking of USA...late 80s, early 90s afternoons and the DAMN GAME SHOW BLOCK.

Late-80s - around 2003.
*Saturday morning cartoons *Nickelodeon is the king of kids TV, and Nick at Nite introduced me to many classic TV shows. *Pro wrestling on the weekends *Those wonderful ‘90s commercials *VH1 as a respectable music channel. I remember watching CardioVideo while getting ready for school, and the promos for Insomniac Music Theater creeped me out.

When Flavor Flav ruled VH1. That one casting decision for the Surreal Life parlayed to quite the time for high school students of those years.

2000-2007
I grew up with the best shows on Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and Disney Channel. Plus it was my favorite time in WWE ever. It was an amazing time to be a kid.
