Void asks two dumb comic book questions

Sooooooo...

Separation Anxiety, did that like...even happen in comic book form, and if so, where? I'm guessing there are no real trade paperbacks or anything involving it? I'm a symbiote mark and I'd love to read about the LIFE Foundation ones.

Also, someone asked me the other day "So, why do Venom and Carnage hate each other exactly?", and all I could do was just sit there and stare dumbfounded, attempt to explain how Cassady was going to kill Brock in prison before the symbiote rescued him, but then I wasn't really sure if that's all there was to it. Sooo...um, what's the deal there, because I basically had to say "Well...they just do."

Venom hates Carnage because Carnage is a mass murderer, and Venom views himself as some sort of warped protector of the innocent. Carnage abuses his power for murder, which Venom despises. Venom was also a part of Carnage's earliest defeats, so thats why they hate each other.

Also, if I remember, the Life Foundation showed up in Venom: Lethal Protector, the first of about 40 Venom limited series. They essentially harvested a bunch of symbiotes off of Venom to guard a housing development. Ah, early 90s Marvel......smell the lameness and die cut foil covers.

1_ The first Venom limited series, they took out a whole buncha symbiotes from venom's symbiote.. it got pretty ridiculous.

2-in addition to carnage being a serial killer and whatnot, since he's venom's "kid", venom is a bit responsible for his evil.

Outside of Venom's first four or five appearances.. symbiotes suck.

yeah, not a big fan of the symbiotes......they really don't fit into Spider-man's world at all.

I don't know. I like the symbiotes, but they could have been handled a lot better.

I like the symbiotes quite a bit.

But that's me, and I'm a 90's kid, so it's the stuff I grew up with. But I thought it was awesome. Still do.
