I never understood the Heenan/Dibiase sale. Andre was with Dibiase at Wrestlemania IV, no Heenan. At Wrestelfest 88 Heenan was with him.

After Wrestlemania IV and the angle with Duggan it was explained that Heenan was going to be with Andre again going forward. I'm not sure if it was specifically mentioned on TV but there was definitely an article in the magazine. I'm pretty sure it was also mentioned that DiBiase basically had Andre on retainer whenever he needed him but that Heenan still owned his contract.

I'm pretty sure they had one of those Update Segments with Mean Gene where after they recapped the Duggan angle, Gene said that Heenan was going to be managing Andre again. Heenan made out really good in that whole deal. Made the profit off selling to Andre to Dibiase and then got Andre right back again anyways. I guess Dibiase got money in return but I'm guessing probably not as much as Heenan got from him three months before since in kayfabe Heenan had the leverage since the acquisition of Andre had failed to get Dibiase the championship as Tunney overruled Andre selling him the belt after twin ref screwjob and then Ted failed to win the belt himself from Savage. There was reason for Andre to want to do his bidding in getting him the title anymore even for money since it was proven that Tunney was not going to allow it. Funny enough Heenan ripped him off even more later in the year. Sold Hercules to Dibiase who was then going to make him a slave only for Herc to refuse and revolt against him in the same segment. So Heenan made out with more money in exchange for Dibiase getting literally nothing out of his purchase.
