Ummm, big yikes if that wasn't a part of the match. Both guys look like assholes there.

Although to be fair, Okada probably should have sold a little bit for any of the three kicks before it, and maybe Kaito wouldn't have thought he needed to lay in as hard.

That's literally the whole point of the spot/angle. Okada isn't taking Kiyomiya seriously, Kiyomiya ramps it up a notch, Okada retaliates, Kiyomiya takes it a step further and then challenges him for a match at the Dome which Okada wouldn't have any reason to take if he wasn't provoked.

To be fair, I'm biased in all of it, since Okada crossed the "Boring invincible hero" threshold for me a long time ago, so yeah ,I guess I just miss the point.

This is the big "NJPW vs. NOAH" show, the second half of the Wrestle Kingdom this year, right?

In fairness, if you kick me in the face that hard, I’m f***ing you up too.
At least, that’s what I assume would be happening in the dream I would suddenly be having.

f***ing love it. There’s an authenticity there that can’t be feigned. Kudos though, it seemed like they both just play ball after Okada clearly gives him his receipt. Scary, scary stuff. Like, I was relieved to see the suplex on the outside seemed safe.
Seeing Okada like this reminds me of the old saying that there’s nothing more terrifying than when someone who is consistently nice and composed f***ing loses it. Terrifying stuff. Awesome lol but terrifying.

Saw GIFs of that on Twitter/tumblr. Wild! Never seen Okada go that batshit, haha.

I think that's the most interesting I've found Okada in the history of ever.

I love it. Okada beating the shit out of him, with his opponent being the one using wrestling moves.

That's the only time I've enjoyed Okada. That kick was brutal. I'd be mad too !

Great angle, that's the type of stuff these inter-promotion shows need when they come together.

I wish they'd went all in on Okada losing his mind after losing the title. Then you build his redemption arc once he hits rock bottom. I wanted less "oh silly Okada" and more "this poor man..."

I wanted less "oh silly Okada" and more "this poor man..." I would have liked to see him go for the tag belts with YOSHI-HASHI, who at the time had zero credibility with people. Would have been a nice way to get Okada away from the world title for a bit while trying to redeem his friend. YOSHI-HASHI did eventually get a push and rebuild his reputation, but I still wouldn't hate seeing them team sometime down the line.
