I think it was before the 1988 Rumble, Andre jumps Hogan after a match and is just choking the life out of him. A bunch of faces run out to try to pull Andre off, can’t do it. Hacksaw Duggan comes out and cracks the 2x4 in half over Andre’s back. Andre finally drops Hogan and turns towards Hacksaw in a half-annoyed/half-murderous way and Duggan flees from the ring.

KENTA vs Grumpy Old TenryuAnd for all the crazy bumps Sting has done since his AEW renaissance, my favorite moment might still be him hulking up immediately after being powerbombed through a table. Helps that 2point0 have the best expressions to sell it with.

Can we count Samoa Joe walking out of the way of various dives as a no-sell? Always enjoyed that.

I always wondered how I’m kayfabe you explain how sometimes you can hit a guy like Taker (doesn’t have to be him, I’m just using him as an example) with a chair and it stuns him, then sometimes it doesn’t.
Adrenaline I guess. Or with Taker, spooky powers.

I always thought Taker no-selling Punk kneeing him in the face at the end of their Mania match was pretty funny. Also kind of cemented where everyone thought Punk was in the pecking order.
Keiji Mutoh taping out to Kiyomiya's Figure 4 Leg Lock, while just looking more annoyed than in any actual pain, is a good metaphor to Muta's run in NOAH as a whole. Then the dude immediately tries to make a beeline to the back leading to Kaito running up the entrance ramp to physically stop him so they could do the "pass the torch" handshake spot to close everything out. Dude could not be less f***ed to put the poor kid over... and I kind of almost admire the absolute brazenness in how he goes about it.

The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels Hell in a Cell match at Badd Blood really picks up when Shawn hits Sweet Chin Music on Taker, and Taker immediately sits up, prompting Shawn to scramble for the conveniently open Cell door.

Made better with Heenan. "Oh my god!" Heenan was fire for face Taker, especially that night. Speaking of Sting. I laugh at this one all the time. "I believe we have found the real Sting!"

I loved when Ibushi for a while just kind of, absorbed a huge amount of offense, festered and then exploded. I dunno if you’d call it a no sell but it was awesome. When this led to him death punching Okada in the head at WK 2020, I damn near threw up.

Oh yeah that worked because the way his eyes would go dead was unique and the opposite to say Hulking Up. If the classic Japanese no sell is showing fighting spirit, that was like some kind of demon spirit.

Oh yeah that worked because the way his eyes would go dead was unique and the opposite to say Hulking Up. If the classic Japanese no sell is showing fighting spirit, that was like some kind of demon spirit. Similarly great was Hiromu Takahashi versus El Desperado. Hiromu keeps pulling at Desperado's mask to get an advantage, tearing it. Desperado rips his own mask the rest of the way off while staring daggers at Hiromu, who sold being intimidated, as if Desperado was telling him, "You think I give a shit about that? I am me with or without the mask."
