My vote is for Everything Everywhere All at Once, because that's the only one I've seen.

I’d mark out like mad if Top Gun or Elvis won, but I’m certain Everything is going to clean up that night.

I’m baffled by no nominations for Director or Picture for Black Panther. But to be honest, predicting is easy this year -
Supporting Actress to Black Panther Supporting Actor to Everything Everywhere All At Once Actress to Everything Everywhere All At Once Actor to The Whale Director to Everything Everywhere All At Once Picture to Everything Everywhere All At Once
And how many score nominations is this now for John Williams? He just keeps cranking them out!

Wow. Nothing from WDAS.
I've only seen Pinocchio, Turning Red and Puss in Boots, I liked PiB the most but I see Turning Red winning because that is the Disney property and that's all the academy members will think about when casting their votes.

I absolutely loved All Quiet on The Western Front. It won't win, but I really enjoyed that film.

Just put Quan's name on the award now. He's got that locked up.
Everything Everywhere should clean up.
Top Gun Maverick not getting a Cinematography nomination is surprising. WTF?

Top Gun Maverick not getting a Cinematography nomination is surprising. WTF? Ever since Hoop Dreams didn't get a Best Documentary Film nomination, nothing surprises me. That still annoys me to this day, almost 30 years later.

JUst read that for the first time in 88 years, all the Best Actor nominees are first timers.

Everything everywhere all at once should easily clean up especially for best picture.
I am baffled by triangle of sadness gettin in for best picture...I watched that and it was baffilingly stupid.

Mia Goth gave a better performance in Pearl than any nominee in any category.

RRR going from a Best Picture dark horse to not even getting an International Feature nomination certainly says a lot about Hollywood’s view of the Indian film industry.

My concern for the BP voting is that two non traditional movies for very different reasons may split enough votes to hand it to a more traditional winner. Everything Everywhere might be strong enough to hold on…but Maverick is the class of the modern blockbuster and in a swoop honors not only Cruise’s decades of hits but the Academy’s failure to honor blockbusters with top prizes almost always. I can see a good portion of the voting body being split between which thing they want to reward. The boundless creativity of a sci-fi indie or the success and quality of the hit blockbuster.
Sometimes they show up late and give awards for things they missed out on. Crash beat Brokeback Mountain because the Academy wasn’t ready to reward the vastly superior gay movie. Years later…Mickey Rourke got screwed because they made up for it with Sean Penn in Milk. Maverick is their chance to undo not nominating Dark Knight and for Fury Road winning for every aspect of filmmaking except best picture.
I don’t think Maverick has a chance to win the award…just to dent Everything Everywhere enough that it won’t either.

Fury Road was beyond boring and didn’t deserve to win Best Picture regardless of which film actually beat it.
