With Darby having KUSHIDA get a title shot, I'd presume he's going to be doing the face thing and have some challengers from outside of the company. Who are some people you'd want to see get a shot?
Chris Adonis (Chris Masters) is the brutally easiest answer. He works great with people smaller than him, and he'd look enormous next to Darby. Darby is by his own description a counter wrestler, and thrives having someone to ragdoll him until he can figure out a plan of attack out of it. Adonis and his finisher open a lot of opportunities for that.
Hell, I can even think of an easy false finish. Darby does that flip stunner of his, but Chris catches him in the Masterlock, with Darby having to throw himself in the air to catch his legs on the rope. That, or do the corner run counter that people sometimes do to get out of standing rear submissions.

Not even for sombrero board memes purposes, I’d love to see Chris Adonis get a shot. Having Darby bounce off him and get thrown around only to pull off a scrappy win is right in both of their wheelhouses.
I’d like someone like Bojack get a shot for similar reasons.

Three off the top of my head would be Zack Sabre Jr., Himuro Takahashi, and Toru Yano for the laughs and to see him interact with Sting throughout the match.
Now that I think of it, I would love to see Shingo Takagi take the belt off Darby🤔

Since both the All Atlantic and TNT title seem to be open challenge titles right now can we run this thread as a joint challenger thread?
Honestly would use connections to the CyberFight companies and get guys like Mao, Naruki Doi, Tetsuya Endo, Chris Brookes, Eita, Amakusa, and Kiyomiya for matches with either Darby or OC would be a lot of fun

Anyway good choices. Also made me realise I want to see Higuchi Vs Darby one day, just not in the foreseeable future. |

The TNT Title would be a step down, plus would take him away from Japan for too long |

Trey Miguel, Chris Bey maybe. But I third Adonis. Guy has worked so hard in rebuilding himself. Doesn’t get any love from the ‘E. Nice guy, head right on his shoulders and has improved his game. Would love for him to get some spotlight.

Does Calvin Tankman still work for MLW? If not, I'd love it to be him. Also, it's not as "out of left field" as some other wishes, but give Brody King a shot. King and Darby are magic together.

Make the last match of Bryan's challenge to get to MJF to make him face Darby for the title. Story wise it's a way for MJF to confuse or annoy the fans. Overall it could be a good match.
