He got a taste of US fame and probably scorns Japan or Mexico because, while he'd surely make a lot of money, he wouldn't get the attention statewide that he'd want. It’s the money and I think even he knows he couldn’t hang. Great storytelling but his body wouldn’t have been up to it then, much more definitely not now. Well yeah, there's that, too, like there's zero chance he could do a G1, for example, but as a special attraction, I'm sure the interest is there to some extent if a company felt he could have the effect Jericho did for NJPW. That being said, easily the funniest option would be if he and Corgan became business partners so Punk could make himself NWA champion.

That’s nice. Still like Punk more than Rollins. By a mile.

Doesn't surprise me since in Mox's book he says that the lineup of Shield was their own idea. So Punk trying to take credit for it's creation just by itself is enough to really hate him.

it's crazy what a difference a few years will make. a few years back, CM Punk was a respected elder statesman who was never going back to WWE for legitimate reasons, and Seth was that talented pillock who kept throwing hissyfits on social media. now its mostly the opposite.

What's funny is, Seth Rollins really had to work hard to turn that shit around. He clearly let being at the top go to his head, but either marriage, fatherhood, or a stern talking to (or two) made him straighten all that up. Punk, on the other hand, seems to be the same asshole he's always been, he just finally reached a point where he wasn't worth it to defend anymore. A lot of lateral movement on his part, compared to Seth.

IWC after Rollins said food of my table comment in an obvious manner of speaking- "F THIS GUY WHAT A BOOTLICKER!"
IWC after Rollins calls CM Punk a cancer three years later- "LOL, way to go Seth."
So many things have changed that we got to this point

'high profile' seth freakin rollins Yeah, he’s going to be in another huge marquee match for WWE at their biggest show of the year. Phil’s currently ostracized from both major American wrestling promotions.

Is it weird that I’ve been a CM Punk mark ever since I was a teenager and yet whenever someone talks **** about him I just laugh and go “Yep, sounds about right”?

Loved Punk ever since I first saw him in 2003, which introduced me to the concept of "straight edge" and feeling like less of a dork for not drinking or getting high like a lot of my social circle did. I'll always be a fan on some level, but.....dude's an asshole, and there's not much else to say about it.

If you ignore the real life Punk, his work in AEW was some of his best These days so many wrestlers turn out to be abusers and racists and whatever else that being a regular asshole like Punk ceased being a deal breaker for me The point I drew the line was when it started actually showing up on television because that removed, for me, the argument for separating the man and the gimmick

As for Seth, I think him embracing how much of a massive dork he is makes him more endearing to me. That and he has matured a bunch since he became a dad.

But Rollins is a dork I guess.

I was a big fan until I heard a few too many "...yikes" stories about him from people that I really can't get into, along with his behavior towards Colt. Even knowing that about him, I tried to be fair to him, and I did love the MJF feud, but it's amazing how much this guy has made it easy to root against him.
