Posts like this honestly make my eyes bleed. Acting like the Eagles are "frauds" is f***ing ridiculous, acting like they can't make it back here with the core they have? Even more so. We lost by 3 points to the perceived new goldenboy of the NFL and they needed refs and a shitty fumble to do it, with all due respect, no, the Eagles aren't done. Next time if our defense decides to make one f***ing stop in the entire game, maybe we win the Superbowl and posts like this happily don't exist, so it goes... They aren't frauds at all, *but* they got some happy bounces that may not replicate next year. Getting to the SB is no promise, this may have been their shot for a few years Yeah, the Eagles are a really well-rounded team who were maybe a play away from being world champs. But you won't see an easier path to the Super Bowl. There have been many great teams over the years who have fallen short of the Super Bowl. Hell, they could make it back and be beat up by injuries the same way the Chiefs were all playoffs. They could end up being like the 2012 Niners who seemed like they'd go back to a few more and just ended up crumbling.

If the ref sees it, it should be called. And it seemed pretty egregious, he held him twice. Once with the right hand where he grabbed the jersey and kind of spun him and then once with the left hand once the receiver still had some separation despite the first hold. Hundreds of thousands of people called the penalty bullshit, even top sports stars in and out of football F*** the refs, they didn't call that shit all game, but they decided to call it when it would decide the game. Good for the hundreds of thousands of people, I guess? Looked clear as day to me and if a ref saw a similar or worse play earlier in the game, I assume they wouldβve called it then too. The player that was penalized said it was a hold. Itβs a penalty.

Can ya'll at least agree that the turf was shit? Yes it sucked, it sucked all year too, Chiefs played there week 1 and it was terrible then. Also today I heard this and I agree, Mahomes is a hybrid of Steve Young and Dan Marino.

Can ya'll at least agree that the turf was shit? According to the refs, the turf was a catch.

It was a soft call that went against how the entire game was officiated and screwed my team out of any chance at winning the Superbowl, forgive me if I don't agree and am gonna be pissed about this for a long time, think however you want.

Browns fan here, considering defecting to the Jags after certain actions in the past year, fan and ownership alike. Jags are a fun team to watch. That and it's fun to joke about Tony Khan throwing wild coke parties after big wins. But yeah, I wouldn't blame any Browns fan for jumping ship after getting Watson. It's not like they have done anything to earn fans' loyalty except just happening to be the local team. Though it does make me curious how fans without a local rooting interest or being born into it choose a team. You're British right? How'd you end up a Browns fan? I was dating a girl from Cleveland Heights around the time the Browns had that "perfect season" and they were so entertainingly bad I started to like them. I was already a Jags fan but at that point they were BORING bad for a few years. Funnily enough my current wife is a Detroit Lions fan.

It was not clear as day, it was for sure borderline. It was borderline for a call that ends a regular season game, much less a SB. The non PI call in the 1st(?) quarter was way clearer; I think even Mecca would agree with that. Even the commentator had different reactions on each.

I watched Simms and Ryan Clark talk about this and honestly Clark has a really great breakdown of it. The Chiefs are killing them with motion cross or fake cross etc..JuJu hits Bradbury with X Nasty, Bradbury 100% thinks it's a slant and as soon as JuJu puts his foot down to break Bradbury grabs...he then grabs again. The first is worse than the second but without that grab it's a TD. He basically left the official no choice because he dared the call to prevent a TD. It also didn't help thar he wore black gloves so it's easy to see it on the white jersey.

I do know what that obviously easier call in the 1st would have been, it would have been a 3rd down conversion. It was where the ball went, it could not have been more visible to every ref, and he was there early with the arm hooked. There is no more textbook call.

Can ya'll at least agree that the turf was shit? I don't get how with hundred million dollar budgets, a team can botch something as basic as grass.

Bad grass, screws up a punt in a three point game. People falling everywhere. Great game but probably be a better (regardless of who wins) if it wasn't a factor.

Both teams got away with calls in the game. Philly shouldn't have let it get to that point to begin with, With my Manager being a Philly fan and my team being in the NFC East it was good seeing Philly lose. Lol

The Eagles had a year where they went 14-3 with tbeir best win being against the Giants. Then beat the Giants and Josh Johnson to make the Super Bowl, where they were 10 points up against another obviously injured quarterback. There's a very good chance that they never get back here, which must make the ending to the game incredibly difficult to take. That was probably their shot. Which, as very much a non-Eagles fan, is hilarious. But I think they have every right to feel hard done by. Please don't infect another part of the board with your inability to read very minor criticism of anything you're passionate about. Nowhere in that post do I say the Eagles are 'frauds'. In fact, I totally agree that they were hard done to by the penalty. Saying that they will likely not have a better chance to win than that for a good few years is just a fact. However good you are, the more you play good teams the more games you'll lose. People before the AFC Championship were saying the Chiefs choke in big games - I don't think that's true, it's just the Bills & Bengals (and Brady's Pats and Bucs) are really good teams too. You're going to win some and you'll lose some. Next year the Eagles will have a tougher schedule and will have a much harder time to get back to the Super Bowl. At this time of year, people console the losing side by saying they'll definitely be back - history tells you that is pretty rarely the case. That's why you have to take your chances when you get them, and that's why the call that ended this game was so devastating.

What did Nick do? Cry during the anthem? Christ leave him alone lol His antics on the sideline too. It's pretty sad when the 24 year old quarterback has to calm his 41 year old head coach like a child. Though all credit to Jalen Hurts. He's got a pretty good head on his shoulders.Β Take it because that's the nicest thing I will ever say about the Eagles besides "At least they aren't the Cowboys." Your issue is that he was animated? Sometimes that can be motivating too, you know.

Itβs a bullshit call because over the course of this past season itβs a call that hasnβt been called, especially late in the fourth quarter. If itβs 15 yards downfield it might get called this season, but not within 5 yards. The refs called that differently at the worst time to do so.
