And looks like he’s going to do more freelance work. He’s making a stop in GCW

I mean, he's a free agent to make one of the biggest rematches in wrestling history happen. One against one of his biggest allies and adversaries.
I'm of course talking about...

I'd like if he can work something out with NJPW sometime, but wrestling elsewhere is probably the only chance that was ever happening in the first place. He has never been a guy who does things because it's the lucrative choice, but because he wants to do it, so it's good if he can get some fulfillment and experience other things for a sec, then we'll see where that takes him.

It did seem he was finally ready to buckle down once he signed the exclusive contract with NJPW but their fallout has opened the door for him again

HHH going to sign this dude and rename him Michael Nakazawa. LMAO They'd probably want to call him Kota Ibushi still, like the CW tournament. That said, I doubt he wants to put pen to paper with anybody right now, anyway, he was probably missing his freelancer freedom.

Best way to get him is to just say he can do a program and leave which would def be unprecedented in the WWE but HHH has worked with Ibushi before and I think potential of having that door open would intrigue him

WWE don't tend to have that kind of flexibility post-MNW.

I see him going to AEW if he goes anywhere because they allow a ton of freelance work for their wrestlers. He has a ton of reasons to go there, even if he doesn't commit to a full contract

Kota vs Bailey sounds NUTS.
Really hoping to see a reunion of the Golden Lovers, though.

Oh my dear lord it’s Kota vs. Speedball at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport. Mike Bailey is definitely putting in a claim for Indy wrestler of the year, dude's got Vikingo at Spring Break and Kota at Bloodsport It sucks so much we were denied him several years due to visa issues, thank god he's only 32 and making up for lost time in a huge way

Golden Lovers vs Acclaimed could be one of the biggest tag matches you could do at this point, and also yknow, FTR exists...

Really disappointed. I was hoping to see him at Capital Collision in April.

This guy in particular's been close to Ibushi for a while now, being the one to basically all but confirm Ibushi was going to become a free agent.

As others have said elsewhere, I just hope he stays healthy. No matter what he does.
He’s in a similar situation that Kenny was in 2021-2022. He’s been working hurt for so long that’s it’s catching up to him.

I would imagine he inevitably ends up in AEW. He probably appears there before too long but won’t sign for a bit. But the guy marches to the beat of his own drum. He’s as likely to take a booking in someone’s parking lot first
