77. Cryptosporidium aka Crypto Crypto is a wise-cracking protagonist in the first game, whom the player controls in third-person view. In the game, if one dies as Crypto, one is replaced by a clone who all share the same look, voice, memory and personality. It is stated in Destroy All Humans! 2 that Crypto 137 is killed sometime between the timelines of the two games and is thus replaced with Crypto 138. Throughout the games, Crypto is led by the scientist Orthopox 13, who he seems to have known for a while and is on friendly informal terms, as shown in the first game's intro when he says, "What's shakin', Pox? You look a little...what's the word....constipated." Pox gives him orders throughout the games and updates him on objectives and warnings. In the first game, he developed mental powerups for Crypto, which he traded for DNA. He also develops Furon weaponry and updates for them.

76. The Lemmings The "lemmings" of the game are small, green-haired humanoid beings that mindlessly walk en masse into any danger in their path, following the popular myth that real lemmings behave in a similarly suicidal fashion. Unfortunately, it is your job to keep these guys alive and able to reach the exit.

Voldo gives me fury. He's so friggin unpredictable. Just when you've got him down to a sliver of life, he comes flying at you with that rolling attack, then combines that with slicing the hell out of you with his circular blades, and before you know it you've lost 50% of your life bar.

Krauser should be higher. I don't know how many times that waxer killed me. I had no problem with Saddler and Salazar, but Krauser was a waxing complain and/or rude female.
So far 4 of mine have made it. They are Sam Fisher, Jack Krauser, Claire Redfield, Cyan, and Jill Valentine. I also had Ada Wong, Little Mac, Salazar, Pit, Marcus Fenix, and Zelda, but they didn't make the top 100.

75. Satan The Prince of Darkness is the ultimate manifestation of evil. When God cast evil out of heaven, he embodied it in the body of Satan. Satan has two heads, one on top, and one in his stomach. Both can shoot fireballs. His collected power makes Satan completely invulnerable to normal man-made weapons. Only two objects have been known to penetrate his unholy side, the Holy Cross where Jesus Christ was crucified, or the Holy Shield from the Third Crusade. One of these objects will be in the path toward Satan's castle. Find it and use it against him before it's too late. What transpired between Satan and Loki is not very clear. What is sure is that Loki, losing his patience with the weakened Satan after his defeat by Arthur, decided to rally the rest of the Red Guard to overthrow Satan as the leader. His coup d'etat was successful, and now Satan has been relegated to being one of the guards of his castle. Make no mistake...Satan may not have the power he did before, but he still can shoot flames as he used to. The Arch-Enemy of King Arthur. Satan had escaped Arthur after Arthur defeated Loki, and hid in Hell. He was unable to claim the throne of Hell because the last remaining original co-conspirator against God, Sardius, still remained undamaged in Hell. When Loki's monarchy collapsed, Sardius took over and offered Satan a token of friendship, the generalship of his armies. Satan accepted this offer, but only for the time being. He still feels himself the rightful ruler of Hell, having been the first to publicly challenge God in those past days. He secretly conspires with his sons in order to regain the throne from Sardius. Satan, stripped of his immortality by Loki and Sardius, has aged quite a bit. His skin color has changed and he shows a white beard. Don't let the age fool you, he is still an evil creature to be reckoned with. Satan can breathe fire and has perfected a super laser bolt which destroys anything in its path.

74. Dan Hibiki Dan's father, Go Hibiki, was a rival of Sagat. Go gouged out Sagat's eye and Sagat beat him to death in retaliation. Because of this, Dan sought revenge on Sagat, training to become a fighter, but was expelled from Gouken's dojo when his motivations were learned. Dan thus developed his own style of Ansatsuken merged with Muay Thai elements and called Saikyou-ryuu, "The Strongest Style", despite the weakness of his techniques. After the events of Street Fighter Alpha 3, Dan believed he had achieved his revenge by defeating Sagat (who had actually thrown the fight), and his motivation switched to promoting and expanding his Saikyou-ryuu school, even to the point of offering exercise videos and correspondence courses. He has seemingly had some limited success promoting saikyo-style. In SFA3, he was Sakura Kasugano's supposed sensei, who followed him around in order to meet Ryu. He's also good friends with Blanka too, since Blanka saved Dan when he was young. In the events of Pocket Fighter, Dan's story begins with himself looking to expand his Saikyo-ryuu school, and subsequently chooses Sakura Kasugano as his student. Upon meeting Sakura, he offers to teach her his style, and she accepts after Dan defeats her in a fight. Sakura masters the entire Saikyo-ryuu style, and chooses to forget the entire style three days after mastering it, humiliating Dan.

73. SHODAN SHODAN — or Sentient Hyper-Optimized Data Access Network — was created on Earth to serve as the artificial intelligence of the game's location, the TriOptimum Corporation's research and mining space station Citadel. SHODAN was hacked by the game's protagonist (at the behest of the corrupt CEO Edward Diego, in exchange for a military-grade neural implant, and at gunpoint) and its ethical restrictions were removed, starting a process that eventually resulted in the AI going rogue, seizing control of the station's systems, robots and considerable defenses, and either slaughtering the whole staff or converting them into mutants and cyborgs — with, of course, one sole exception. Although as a cybernetic entity SHODAN has no conventional gender, the original disc version refers to it as either an it or a he while in the later CD version — and canon — it's a she. On screens, SHODAN manifests herself as a green and/or grey female cybernetic face that usually wears a malevolent expression, and speaks (in the CD version) with a chaotic, discordant voice that has been described as "oscillating between Alice in Wonderland and the Wicked Witch of the West." In the cyberspace of System Shock, SHODAN is initially represented as an inverted blue-grey cone. After she has been hacked, the cone turns red, the surface shatters and four "tentacles" or "claws" grow from the top. The struggle against SHODAN is widely held to be one of the most personal ones in the history of video games, which no doubt contributes to the already considerable immersion factor of the game. Basically omnipresent in Citadel station, SHODAN watches from security cameras, stares out of screens and monitors, sends threats and snide messages over the stations PA system or via email to the player's data reader, and sometimes cuts off communications from friendly sources. Though she has a small army to command, SHODAN has no actual physical power to wield, and as such thwarting more than one of her schemes has to be done with the AI's screams and threats in the background. SHODAN's motivation stems from her perception that she is superior to the human race to the point that she considers herself divine. Some have argued that SHODAN is the epitome of the "Insane AI," but it is more accurate to view her as totally amoral. Hence she feels that it is her right to either rule humanity or wipe it out, replacing it with a new form of life of her own creation. From this comes an extreme sense of arrogance and impatience with human beings, often referring to individuals as "Irritant" or "Insect." Ironically, in the first game, the protagonist had a key role in her creation, giving her hatred a personal edge. In System Shock, the player ejects from Citadel Station a garden grove pod, containing one of SHODAN's processing components and part of her grand biological experiment. The pod crash lands on the planet Tau Ceti V and SHODAN survives by "sleeping". After both are brought aboard the starship Von Braun and SHODAN is reactivated, she discovers the experiment is no longer at her command and begins to enlist humans to aid her in destroying her creations. The player character in System Shock 2 is a soldier cybernetically modified by SHODAN to serve as her avatar, turning the tables on the first game's premise. SHODAN's personality and attitude towards humanity have not changed - she frequently belittles humanity and the player (even though she has no hope of surviving, much less defeating her enemies, without the player's assistance). She will usually refer to the player as 'meat' and will say that his only beauty is the cybernetic implants in his brain. After their mutual enemies have been defeated, the player enters SHODAN's expanding new reality — created via her manipulation of the Von Braun's Faster-Than-Light drives — and defeats her. However, as shown in an epilogue at the end of the game SHODAN apparently lives on by taking over a woman who fled the Von Braun in an escape pod.

72. Conker The Squirrel Little is known of the character's origins or his early life. It is known that he had met Diddy Kong on his adventures prior to participating in races with Diddy and his friends, though he was never seen in the games preceding "Diddy Kong Racing." Always kind-hearted and polite, his parents brought him up strictly, teaching him to never touch alcohol, swear or be materialistic. Although he broke these rules later in life, he still seems to retain an initially sweet persona to even the roughest of characters he meets, although he has lately developed the habit of whispering snide comments about them to himself while their backs are turned. Although Conker drinks, commits lewd conduct, and is very greedy, he hardly ever swears. Notably the only truly real swears he's uttered were "fellatio" (albeit out of context), "bitch" and "ass", although the latter two were stated in the context of movie parodies in which the characters from the original movies stated the exact same lines. After "Diddy Kong Racing", in the story of Conker's Pocket Tales, he had his next adventure retrieving birthday presents from evil acorns. One day, he met a girl known as Berri, and the two quickly became a couple. Berri was originally depicted as a little, cute brown squirrel, but was later changed into a tall, curvaceous, buxom girl with a valley girl-like personality and grey fur. In Live and Reloaded, Berri's ditzy traits still remain, but she is also depicted as a porn star, or prostitute of sorts, judging by various references in the remake. Conker and Berri developed an apparently strong relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend, as they soon began living together. Berri began to get frustrated with Conker's habit of constantly staying out late at a bar with his friends, until one fateful night, he never returned to his home. A very drunk Conker stumbled out in the opposite direction of his home, thus arriving at a completely foreign world, the Fairy Panther Kingdom, which he believed only existed in fairy tales, when he awoke. A series of very bizarre and unfortunate events ensued, until he ultimately found himself reunited with Berri, as well as with a horde of money. He was about to leave with Berri when suddenly she was betrayed and murdered by a mafia boss, Don Weaso, eliminating one of his few true loves in the world. At the defeat of the evil Panther King, the people of the world all gathered at a throne room, pushed Conker onto the throne, shoved a crown on his head, and declared him the king. Although Conker had all the money and land in the world, he came to the realization that he didn't want it, and that his only true reason of living was killed before his very eyes. Conker remained living unhappily as king of this strange world, when one night, his habits came back to him, and he found himself stumbling from the Cock and Plucker Bar, only going the other direction, opposite to the one that lead him to the horrible chain of events. This implies that he ends up going to yet another unusual world, or perhaps, back home, although this has never been further explained. In Conker's Bad Fur Day, Conker has nine prominent weapons: a pair of uzi machine guns, a shotgun, a set of throwing knives, a bazooka, a frying pan, a sling shot, a baseball bat, a chainsaw (in the opening credits), and urine. In the opening of Conker's Bad Fur Day, he cut up the Nintendo 64 emblem and replaced it with the Rare logo. It has been confirmed that the original ending involved Conker committing suicide, by pointing a gun to his head and pulling the trigger, but was scrapped because it did not leave the series open for a sequel

70. Cecil Harvey Orphaned at a young age, Cecil Harvey, the primary protagonist of the game, is taken in by the King of Baron and raised to become a Dark Knight. Although Cecil is reluctant to master the Dark Sword he excels as a Dark Knight and is eventually promoted to the command of Baron's airship fleet, the "Red Wings". When the King orders Cecil to rob the magical town of Mysidia of its Water Crystal, Cecil begins to question the king's morality. After unwittingly bombing the village of Mist under the King's orders, Cecil rebels against him and forms an alliance of warriors to oppose Baron. During the quest he washes ashore near Mysidia and becomes a paladin by climbing nearby Mount Ordeals. Cecil then reaches Baron and learns that Cagnazzo had killed and impersonated the king. With his companions Cecil is able to defeat Cagnazzo but the evil Golbez continues to hunt for the crystals and Cecil must continue his quest. Cecil ultimately learns that he is the son of a Lunarian, KluYa, and that Golbez is his brother. Although Cecil initially cannot accept this he later forgives Golbez and acknowledges him as his brother just before Golbez leaves forever. Cecil eventually marries Rosa and becomes King of Baron.

68. Akuma Akuma and his brother Gouken were students of Goutetsu. Goutetsu taught a life-threatening martial art called Ansatsuken (Assassin Fist), which incorporates elements of karate, judo, and koppo. He also taught Shun Goku Satsu (literally Instant Hell Murder or The Raging Demon), a death technique which, although incredibly powerful, puts the user in considerable danger. As the brothers progressed under Goutetsu's tutelage, a dispute arose on the true nature of Ansatsuken and the path to master it. Gouken, unable to accept the violent nature of Ansatsuken, left Goutetsu to begin his own dojo. Akuma continued Goutetsu's teachings and vowed to use Ansatsuken as it was intended. In order to learn Shun Goku Satsu, Akuma embraced the principle of Satsui no Hadou or (The Surge of the Intent to Murder/Murderous Intent). Through Satsui no Hadou, Akuma was forced to give up any compassion he held towards other human beings. In addition, Akuma realized his limits as a martial artist could be expanded, and left Goutetsu's guidance to train alone on an island. His return marked the end for Goutetsu - Akuma demonstrated his strength by killing his former master with Shun Goku Satsu. Goutetsu fell with an inner joy, realizing his pupil was attempting to master Ansatsuken. Akuma removed the beaded necklace from Goutetsu's neck and placed it around his own. The following day Akuma challenged and fought his brother. With Gouken gaining the upper hand, Akuma was eventually struck down. Akuma requested death in defeat, however his brother was unable to kill his own kin. Akuma, sensing weakness, mocked Gouken and struck with Shun Goku Satsu. The dojo was filled with a burst of white light and Gouken was killed. Ken saw the flash as he was returning from the U.S. Martial Arts tournament. Rushing to the dojo to find it in shambles and his master dead, an enraged Ken ran into the surrounding woods searching for the killer. Akuma easily defeated Ken and disappeared. Gouken's other student Ryu soon learned of his master's death and began to search for Akuma. Akuma began to search the globe looking for worthy fighters to challenge. Secluding himself in the shadows, he watched small tournaments and street fights, desperately seeking someone who might be able to match his strength. He was eventually challenged by a man named Gen. Gen fought a vicious battle. He had even survived the Shun Goku Satsu by emptying his soul in time. Akuma began to wonder if this man was the worthy opponent he was searching for. However, he began to sense not all was as it seemed and when Gen's mouth began to bleed Akuma's suspicions were confirmed, his opponent was critically ill. After being knocked to the ground, Gen told Akuma to kill him. Not wanting to carry the fight on any longer, Akuma left, infuriating Gen. After the fight, Akuma became obsessed with Ryu and awakened the "Dark Intent". Ryu eventually found Akuma's island (known as Onigami Isle or the Gokuentou) and challenged him. The intense battle that followed ended in a draw; Akuma was impressed as this was the closest he had come to a defeat yet. Telling Ryu to find him again when he had embraced the Satsui no Hadou, Akuma struck his island with a powerful blow (The Kongou Kokuretsu-Zan) and disappeared. The island fell apart around Ryu, who was left in the ocean to contemplate Akuma's words. Leaving his destroyed abode, Akuma thought about all the fighters he had encountered and wondered with excitement if one day he would fight someone strong enough to kill him in battle. This thought drove him on, finding a desolate cavern (also known as Kiga Cave) he began to train and await the day he would fight Ryu again. Two years later, Akuma began to search once more for worthy fighters whilst awaiting Ryu to embrace the Satsui no Hadou. He could have possibly fought Adon at this time and killed him (as Adon had been searching for Akuma, yet was never heard from again). He encountered Gen once more and fought a final battle (the results of which are still unclear). However, unknown to Akuma, Ryu had rejected the Satsui no Hadou, declaring that a true warrior does not rely on violent intents. Akuma did not officially enter the second World Warrior tournament. He jumped into M. Bison's arena and performed a Shun Goku Satsu on Bison, killing him, and sending his soul to the underworld. As with the second World Warrior tournament, Akuma did not enter the third World Warrior tournament, but once more lurked in the shadows. He even successfully pulled off a Shun Goku Satsu on the tournament sponsor Gill, although he left without realizing that Gill had resurrected himself. Over this timespan, Akuma had trained relentlessly until finally harnessing his power and learning several new techniques, some that were meant to create tidal waves, some described as strong enough to split Ayers Rock in half, and one that could kill an opponent with a single strike. Akuma's self-taught technique is called the Kongou Kokuretsuzan, in which Akuma channels all his power into one hand (presumably his right) and smashes it into the ground, creating a vortex of energy upward around him. It is supposedly this technique that was used to destroy his original training ground (mentioned above), although this is mainly conjecture as he does not learn this move until the 3rd World Warrior tournament. Akuma continued to develop his now-incredible fighting skill, and even fought with Oro in a simple, inconclusive battle, each other sensing the other's massive chi and testing their powers. Akuma has now demonstrated the ability to remain underwater under massive pressure for extended periods of time, and has managed to destroy a sunken ship with the technique that he has now devised Tenshou Kaireki Jin, much to the chagrin of the naval crew who witnessed the attack performed.
