The Great Sasuke. It could have been a possibility too, as Sasuke faced Taka Michinoku at Canadian Stampede, and it was Taka who would go on to compete at Wrestlemania the following year.

The Patriot? I know he was only in the WWF for a few months in the second half of the year so he wasn’t employed during Mania season but he was a decent-sized name so I suppose he qualifies.

Jushin Liger is one. I would have rather seen him used at Manua than an NXT Takeover. Antonio Inoki is probably the biggest name who never appeared. Antonio Inoki did show up on the show when they welcomed the Hall of Fame class that year. Also I strongly believe that Yoshi Tatsu won the Wrestlemania Battle Royal that year because Antonio Inoki was going into the Hall of Fame and alot of Japanese press was around so it looked good to have a Japanese star win it.

Carlos Colon Mil Mascaras Billy Graham Graham was there as a manager for Muracco at Mania 4, not the same as wrestling, but he got an appearance.

I don't think Rene Goulet ever made it on a Mania Card. Odd he wasn't in 1 or the battle royal in 2 anyways.

Bruno Sammartino. Could conceivably have had a match at I or II.

Two guys who had long WWE runs but never got onto the mania card are the recently deceased Lanny Poffo (with WWF 1985-92) and Lance Storm (2001-2005, he had a pre-show match in this run). Lanny deserved a PPV match even as a face. I think he was a stand in, in case one of the 2 battle royal guys couldn't make it. He and Mike Sharpe were pictured in a Chicago weigh in. He didn't make the PPV broadcast as a manager for VIII but at least got VI mania as a manager. The Genius character really helped his career take off. I thought he should have gotten the Survivor Series 88 spot instead of Scott Casey. I'm sure he was there with his family or at least Randy. Maybe WWF didn't want him being shown so soon before Randy.Kamala is a guy who came to my mind immediately on this thread. I know he was at the X-7 battle royal but during his time as an active performer with WWF he didn't get a spot on the III card, he came right after VIII and his match at IX was cancelled. Are there any guys from WWF who missed a mania? I really can't think of any off hand other than guys mostly on the lower card in the 80s or 90s. Hell, in his whole WWF tenure(1985 to 1992) he only had ONE PPV match....at Royal Rumble 1990 against Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake. It ended in a double disqualification.

I was going to say Harley Race...but then I remembered he and JYD had a match at 3. Harley also was in the IV battle royal. If he had stayed less than three more months in 89 he may have made V.

No, I don't count that stupid gimmick battle royale.

Kamala was the name that immediately came to mind. I know he was in the gimmick battle royal but that hardly seems like it should count. If that counts then Michael Hayes is out too.
I'd put Konnan up pretty high in terms of guys who never had a Mania match. He's been around for a long time, was over in WCW, is a God in Mexico, and helps a lot of the Mexican stars.
