First show of the month done.
SWA in Ellisvile MS,was told it was 750 tickets sold. Factor in another 20 or so that got in free cause they were with the wrestlers,refs,whatever...that is a big ass crowd ffor an indie show down here.
Buddy I rode in with did the opening match. Busted out a Harlem Hangover legdrop where he flipped over the top rope from the apron to the ring doing it. And this dude is 6'3" and 280lbs.
Main event was something I hadn't seen before. Now I have seen street fights, saw one in SWA 6 years ago. This was the first NO ROPES Street Fight I have seen. Was local fave dalton Dek,local firefighter that wrestles usually 2 times a month,vs Antonio Bronson.
Good match. Dalton got busted over when a picture frame was busted over his head. I had to double as security during this match to keep the kids back.
Filmed 2 matches. Will have them up later. And I was told they filmed and will be back on FITE soon with new episodes.
Overall a fun night.

OK seriously if you're not watching Wrestling Revolver, you don't know what you're missing. To go along with that, Sami is opening a wrestling school to go with Wrestling Revolver Also today CZW continues the road to Best of the Best with a fairly loaded show in Maryland. Headlined by Eran Ashe vs Griffin McCoy

I had to double as security during this match to keep the kids back. Filmed 2 matches. Will have them up later. And I was told they filmed and will be back on FITE soon with new episodes. Overall a fun night. So, in your estimation, why did they draw 750? Was it really good promoting (if so, what did they do)? Was it the talent involved that drew? Was it the location of the show?
2 big factors helped them draw that 750. Small town where there is nothing to do. So 10 buck GA tickets=cheap night out for teens and young adults. Lots of couples there. And more than a few Grandparents with their kids or parents wit h their kids. So location was huge. Then The roster. While 2 of the 4 that drew the crowd aren;t good, all 4 are names taht if the locals see on a flyer/poster they will come watch them. 1.Noah Hosey-One of the decent of the 4 draws. Dude is early 20s and good but still green. He though over the past year learned to SLOW DOWN. This aint WCW/NWO Revenge on the N64. You are working in front of a deep south crowd. Also helps he has been working piles of vets the last year.Pretty sure Noah went to the high school we were at last night. 2.Brayden Hosey-Noah's younger brother, hearing dude is still in high school but a senior(no clue if that is true). He works too fast which causes his to botch. He tries stuff he hasn't practiced enough ,which causes him to botch. Every Brayden match is full of stuff I could send Maffew, but with this guy being young and a rookie I haven't yet.Like Noah pretty sure Brayden went to/is going to the high school the event was held at. 3.Dalton Dek-Dude is good. Like not say WWE or AEW good. But he could goto ROh,MLw,NWa,UWn,whatever right now and fit in fine. His normal job keeps him from working more places,he is a firefighter in Jones County. Plus he is from the high school the show was at last night. Nice dude the bit I have talked to him.he saw last night I was trying my best to stay about 5 foot from them as they fought all over the gym. SWA had a newish camera crew and they didnt set the hard cams up in good spots for a street fight. 4.Hillbilly Joe-saved the worst for last. Dude just sucks. He punches, kicks, knocks yea into the corner and slams his ass into your crotch, which the crowd pops LOUD for... And now is trying to claim he has been wrestling 6 years....Dude started in 2020 when Mountain Man,the then local hillbilly dude, retired cause of covid. And Mountain Man was decent back in the 90s,he faced Sid Vicious on some WCW show once. But Joe is horrible. But the crowd loves him. The pop he got.... I am not ready for it. 770 people screaming their heads off for this dude that makes Uncle elmer look like Blue Panther. A guy who makes Tom Magee look like Kawada. My buddy I ride to lots of shows with faced Joe. And the match was the best Joe match i have seen. Aint saying much cause it was 2 stars and that is cause Nightmare hit a killer over the top rope harlem hangover. But Joe's timing is off,Dude is a legit 6'8". I made it a point to stand next to hhim fopr a bit. And yea he has 5 inches on me. And Joe is great with the crowd. Been told if he gets put in with a rookie he will try to control the entire match. Put him in there with a vet and he wants to call it in the ring. SWA from 2018 until 2022 also had another major factor in why they draw so good but are pretty much unknown outside of MS. They had a weekly tv show that aired in every MS market, besides teh Jackson market. Was a 30 minute show. They also added each of these episodes,in longer extended versions,on the FITE app. They are making new episodes for Fite. But I made sure to assk and got permission to "Film whatever you want, once the doors open. And Upload whenever you want."

I'm slowly filling my calendar with some indies for the summer. They're all road trips but hey, you only live once.
Wife and I are going back to Williamstown, NJ Memorial Day weekend for ICW No Holds Barred 46 on Saturday and the H2O BrawlBQ on Sunday
On July 30 my son and I are trekking to the Mecca in Ridgefield Park, NJ for ETU Summer Madness
The weekend of August 19 we'll finally be making it to Atlantic City for GCW Homecoming weekend.

Really nice crowd for CZW too. Also (may be reading too much into it) sounds like CZW is going to be adding O'Shay Edwards and Kidd Bandit as regulars.

Glad to see CZW getting back on their feet. Yeah it's been a full on rebuild. Running shows between their dojo/studio in New Jersey and a theatre in La Havre Maryland, but they've really built up some very good homegrown talent like Griffin McCoy, Vinny Tarotta, Eran Ashe, Boom Harden, Mike Walker, and Isiah Wolfe and have combined it with vets like The Rep, Milk Chocolate, Fred Yehi, Swann, Lince Dorado, and Desean Pratt as well as occasional guests like JD Drake and Kenta to really build up a solid foundation again plus having partnerships with the Wild Samoan Training Academy and also partnering with Premier Streaming Network, they've really grown again. The Maryland shows tend to have much better crowds due to space, but they've all been very fun

Glad to see CZW still around. Sure they are known for the deathmatch stuff, but they had a bit of everything back in the day.
Looks like I am going to 12 or 13 shows next month.
None of them anything but local indies. But hey if any of yall lose your minds and end up in rural MS at a show I am vending come over I will give ya a FAN discount on stuff.
Big thing right now is come Sept AWA pro is having a big 2 day anniversary show in Ocean Springs. Both nights they got Alex Hammerstone booked. And one night they got Krule booked against my buddy Nightmare Jeremiah.
So I know i will be at at least one night of it.They do upload footage to YT,search AWA Pro. The Mississippi Rumble from March just went up.
Bad thing is June is so packed there is nights I want to hit 2 shows. I am skipping a AEW house show in Tupelo to hit a local indie, also cause AEW I would have to buy a ticket, local indie I can show up and set oout and put up a few hundred chairs and not have to pay for a ticket.

Ok htat tweet for PSN is that THE ECWA in there? The one that does the Super 8 each year?
There is just too many INDIE focused streaming networks now. I pay for IWTV and Honor Club already. Plus Impact Ultimate Insiders. Not counting my Peacock cause I get that for the Universal stuff not WWE,I think last time I watched wrestling on Peacock was main event of the big NXT event WM weekend.
Some BTS stuff, middle of 2020 myself and the other guy that had been filming a local indie for a few years get told "Look I am talking to FITE. So sit on your footage. Just put up clips."
Ok cool. Sat on footage. 3 months later ask about it and he is still working on it. So now I am sitting on 2 full shows. 6 months later ask again and "Oh been busy with work so haven't gotten much done on it." Ok yea that happens But I also know getting on FITE back then as a free show isn't hard. SWA did it for years.
Finally after a year and I'm sitting on 5 full shows,I ask and now he is working with VIMEO or Vimo or something and we are gonna ask 10 bucks for a full show and split the money 3 ways.......
Yea screw that. I start uploading what I have been sitting on. After getting 2 matches up,the drive i store my footage on dies. Drop more than I should have seeing if a pro can salavage anything off it and nope.
Now the other dude and I who film are back to uploading to YT like we have been for over 10 years now.

Huge indie weekend. Lots of shows in Vegas in conjunction with Double or Nothing being in town. Wrestling Open was on earlier (I’ll watch tomorrow. Lots of interesting stuff).
Up first in Vegas FSW and Future Legends apparel present Legends Rise. A one-night 13-person tournament all under age 25, with the winner becoming the first FSW Future Legends champion. The tournament kicks off with Richard King vs Hunter James.
