I don't think Sami or Kevin would've ever thought they'd be put in this good a storyline when they re-signed with WWE. Like, this is the best thing WWE's done in decades and Sami especially is a big part of why. I also really like the way Roman's used as absentee champion. It's such a refreshing change after Brock's multiple absentee reigns where he just f***ed off for weeks on end and there was a giant Brock-shaped hole in the booking. Here, Roman makes his presence felt even when he isn't on the show. I assume both Roman and Heyman learned from the Brock stuff and wanted to add their spin to make sure even when he is not there the threat of him is still felt. Like it helps Heyman still has the visual representation of both belts with him and he's obviously top tier on mic so he's taking the lead when he has been able to sit back with Roman The beginning and potential ending of this saga with the Bloodline is some of the best stuff they have done. Too bad the middle is what dragged

I'm probably alone on this but even though Roman has held the title for nearly 900 days, it doesn't feel that long to me.
Maybe it's because I've been enjoying his heel run so much.
The only one I would've liked to see beat him was Cesaro. I felt that could've been an Eddie Guerrero feel-good moment at the time.

Like 3 seasons of better call Saul or something where there is storyline progression and his title being taken is the series finale

There's definitely been times where the reign and storyline have completely dragged for weeks, if not months at a time. But now that we've entered into the climax and buildup to Mania, a lot of that has gone away.
Wrestlemania should be the end of this arc. Now we'll see if they stick the landing. And I'm really curious to see what happens to Roman, when the Bloodline reaches its end. Redemption arc? Going absolutely insane alone? There's a lot of possibilities, and I think the crowds will readily accept a face Roman if he does turn.

You take the vibe of Tribal Chief Reigns and make him an asskicker babyface? It’d be insane.

And with them having more groups on the main roster it just fits well GUNTHER/Roman is going to slap one day

What makes this story so great, is that we know the end for Roman's Reign is nigh.
But who takes the title?
Sami in Montreal? He *has* to. You don't book a turn this well, that gets that reaction, and then have Sami come up short. You just can't. Cody at Wrestlemania? He *has* to. The story writes itself. The prodigal son, the son of the son of the plumber, the guy that risked everything to leave, and then risked it all again to come back. He can't come up short. He just can't. Although there's nothing to say he can't face Sami at Wrestlemania, but you almost have to call an audible on the winner, based on the crowd.
Or should this story come full circle? Should this story start the way it ended, but this time, Roman doesn't use Jimmy to gaslight Jey. Sure, they could do this without the title on the line, but isn't that a hollow victory without the title?

You had the last few years of earning big time reactions as a heel that got over big with the fans. I don't think it will be anything like his last big face solo push that got shat on. He's got the crowds eating out of his hand now in a way that he never had as "The Guy."
