Brought up that Gedo made the offer to Finlay after White lost. So why was he wearing a Switchblade shirt at Mutoh's retirement show? 1- Did not want to reveal his game yet, since he is Bullet Club's puppet master; 2- Now he can use those shirts to absorb the sweat during the few matches he does

Zack Sabre Jr.: "What a joke, Bullet Club's dead, get them in the sea where they belong. The Too Sweet has been outdated for about two decades. But if you insist on doing it maybe rethink your members, you've got Yujiro Takahashi. F*** me. What a joke." I love how Sabre can be such a dick. I do hope TMDK and Sabre will be a power player this year. I am guessing with Suzuki-Gun gone, Bullet Club turmoil, and United Empire probably being a more consistent threat if Ospreay keeps healthy, there's a lot of room for TMDK to carve a niche, too.

Kushida faces Low Ki at this weekend's House of Glory show.
Fred Rosser is also at it challenging Jacob Fatu for The House of Glory Championship.

It should be taken with a grain of salt in terms of actually happening since it's just character talk, but at a Stardom press conference Hazuki suggested that the Mercedes/AZM match should be a triple threat with her. AZM didn't exactly object, but said that ultimately NJPW makes that decision. Would be a fun match if it actually happened.

So the Finlay decision is an interesting one; on one hand he has made pretty big improvements in ring, in character work and in his promos, but this is a big step.
You are basically putting him up there with Okada and Jay White by making him Gedo's protégé. Becoming World Champ and the top foreign heel is almost expected now and if he doesn't become those things, both he and Gedo (Gedo the act and Gedo the booker might I add) will come off looking pretty bad here. I think he can hit a couple more gears and if he can, then the sky's the limit. He has been given a massive chance here; hope he can take it cause I'm a fan of his.

It's a massive risk and one I'm behind because New Japan needs fresh blood in the main event scene. I think the first night with heel Finlay was great. Less stalling and usual Bullet Club shithousery, and more overall nastiness.

Like a weird BC-offshoot of Roman's Tribal Chief character. That's what I got anyway- well that and Gedo looking like he was the newest member of the Peaky Blinders

It's enough to make me miss the IC title, since that'd have also probably been acceptable. Hmm, maybe he can win the NEVER off of Tama. It'd be a demonstration of being able to handle someone that's given Bullet Club trouble, but I also get if they want to cool off on Tama vs BC for the time being, given that's obviously dominated a lot of Bullet Club business for a bit now.

The undercurrent of that Young Lion generation is a nice part of the Finlay story. Strictly speaking, YOH is the last one who hasn't joined Bullet Club, so you could do a story with Finlay reuniting him and SHO, getting the latter away from HoT.

Former Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori, Tatsumi Fujinami, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Ichiro Furutachi were among those who paid tribute to Inoki.

I love how Okada had a slip of the tongue in calling it the "New Jacan Puc" once and KENTA has decided to never let him live it down.
