How short a period of time the story takes place in?
I watched back to the future in a row and realized that for Marty that all took place in the spans of a day in his modern timeline.
He goes back to 1955 late at night, comes home, wakes up in the morning to be dragged to 2015, then alternate 1985, then 1955, then 1855, and then back to 1985 where it’s just later that day. Marty just lived several months over the course of one day.

Watching dragon ball z,
Goku gets killed shortly after reuniting with his friends, stays dead for a year to train, fight vegeta, spends a couple days in the hospital and then leaves for namek where he fights Frieza and disappears for another year. Does the cell thing and then dies for another 7 years. It’s like he was only around for like 3 years over the course of that series that takes placed over 10. No wonder everyone calls him a bad dad

A character in Friday the 13th part 4 is looking for his sister who was murdered in Friday the 13th Part 2. He acts like she’s been missing for years. In storyline it’s like 2 days later.

I remember watching the Harold and Kumar sequel that was made years later and they ran into a guy from a party during the first movie and then I realized “wait, is this supposed the same night?”

He met Gale this same movie that takes place over like four days. he starts the job on day 2 of the movie’s story. He leaves on day 3. He’s back on day. 4. like in the old days Ive never seen a character lose track of time in one movie like that before

I'm a casual watcher of Big Sky and my friends kept talking about how many crimes and murders were committed in such a short period of time in the latest season. None of us knew Montana was such a hot bed for crime lol

Not a series, but I watched Plane last week and it takes place over an almost absurdly short period of time. {Spoiler}The titular plane takes off in the early hours of New Year's Eve and crash-lands on a remote island just after sunrise.
Gerard Butler and Mike Colter head off into the jungle to look for help in mid-morning and the militia in charge of the island take the passengers and crew hostage in the late morning.
Butler and Colter immediately sneak into the militia camp and rescue the hostages, and – with the help of a mercenary team sent by the airline who wipe out most of the militia – have them back to the plane by mid-afternoon, which takes off, flies for five minutes to the next island (stated to be about 50km away) and lands safely.
By the time Gerard Butler's safely sitting on the steps of the empty plane and calling his daughter to let her know he's okay it's still no later than late afternoon.
It's the middle part that's funny to me. Like, the militia literally have the hostages captive for all of about an hour before they're whisked out from under their noses by a fiftysomething airline pilot and one ex-French Foreign Legion soldier.

I remember Lost from the timeline from the plane crash to like the end of the penultimate season only took place over a few months or something.
That’s why Walt was written out of the show so quickly. The kid actor was about to hit puberty.

Doesn't Breaking Bad take place over like, a year or less in universe? Ditto for Better call Saul.

The events of the first three John Wick movies take place over a single three-week period.

Almost everything in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 takes place within 48 hours.
It's ridiculous how much is crammed into them, even Jack Bauer would think it was a bit much and say it's either a bank heist or war ending battle, not both.

Cobra Kai started in 2018, but only a year or so has passed for the characters. In-universe, they haven't even hit the pandemic yet. Those poor kids have been in high school a loooong time.

Doesn't Breaking Bad take place over like, a year or less in universe? Ditto for Better call Saul. First episode is Walts 50 birthday. His 51 is in the 5th season. Shortly thereafter he goes into hiding and comes out during his 52nd.
