For those who saw the show (or just know), was there actually pyro at the show? I know the DX band did that awful version of America the Beautiful, which has been edited out. However, after the video intro, it's just Faarooq and Kama entering.
Were there fireworks that had to get cut out because of the damn DX band?

Don’t think so, but I can’t recall. I’m sure someone here has or had the original broadcast on tape and could remember but I only saw it live and don’t recall.

I used to have the live version on tape recorded off of Sky Sports, and it was the introduction of the 'DX band' followed by their performance, the WWF signature and the opening video package talking about tradition, etc, and then into the Nation's entrance. Exactly the same as the VHS release and the Tagged Classics DVD release.
I recently watched a version online that had the performance and WWF signature cut, and the video package had different (and shittier) music along with a newly recorded voiceover. However, the voiceover read the exact same lines, and I believe was actually the same person still. Lost the rights to that piece of music maybe?
Still, the lack of pyro for the open is strange. Can't be budgeting as they had pyro later on for Kane, Undertaker, and Michaels. Hell, even Jarrett got the golden shower pyro.
Time constraints also wouldn't have been an issue as 30 secs of pyro is nothing.
There is a chance the live crowd got pyro whilst the TV audience got the video package, but again, it seems a strange decision.

I taped it off of PPV and I still have the footage but I dubbed it to DVD and no longer have my VHS copy.
There is no pyro.
