That was about as good a first episode as you could hope for. Definitely watching next week.

I'll probably give my own thoughts when I see it later
But regardless, I'm happy to see after waiting for so long, ROH has come out firing
We need more good wrestling out there, and this is it

Wait a minute the independent contractor line wasnt mentioned in the spoilers, it seems that whoever checked the spoilers just learned of some outcomes of the Revolution card. What outcomes exactly?

Very good first episode. Enjoyed it more than they RoH TV shows they used to put on.
Had some purpose and a good introduction to the new ROH. Crowd was pretty good as well. Hoping this succeeds.

I tried watching it while tired last night, and even though I was excited for some of the matches I couldn't get into it. It felt like Dark or Elevation or something, which some people like but isn't my thing.
I will try to rewatch it when more awake and in a better mood to see.if my opinion changes.

Does this show feel more like a flowing TV show or more like a Dark/Elevation match, match, match type of format?

Does this show feel more like a flowing TV show or more like a Dark/Elevation match, match, match type of format? Almost every match was followed by a promo/video package plugging something later in the show or next week so I'd say so. They also had some in ring segments too.

Thought I would make a thread exclusively for discussing the weekly streaming show. I hope this becomes a pinned thread!

Solid first show. I won't lie and say that i've paid total attention to some of the undercard matches, but the big ones were very good.

Great show, Sabre, Takeshita, and Claudio's matches all delivered and could stand with any promotion anywhere, just fantastic stuff
Lady Frost is athletic as hell, I think she earned a PPA off that Willow match because there aren't many women on either roster that can move as crisp as she does.
And got bless Mark Briscoe of course

I enjoyed the first episode of ROH TV under Tony Khan.
I am in the UK and AEW is on the Fite APP with AEW PLUS, ROH TV is on Honor Club with the ROH APP.
Seems strange that they could not come to an agreement with Fite to place all shows under one app for international markets. Aew Plus is actually cheaper over here, compared to the Honor Club, i sm guessing the app ittself has somekind of its own upkeep needed.

Wasn't sure to post this here or in the Forbidden Door thread, but god I hope ZSJ vs. Danielson actually happens this year.

Update: rewatched in a better mood and it was better. Likes: -The set -The roster -The overall style and vibe Dislikes: -Too much crammed on one show -It was over two hours without commercials and some people still didn't get an entrance. -The first match was a current champion and pretty big star going toe to toe with an indie jobber from 20 years ago. -The final match I don't understand how or why he got a title shot. Overall, I liked it enough that Ill watch again this week.

Overall, I liked it enough that Ill watch again this week. The first match was a nod to the first ever ROH match, a Briscoe Brother vs an innovate indie high flying vet. It was a nod to Jay Briscoe vs The Amazing Red, and gave Mark a win to kick off the new era AR Fox got a title match because AR Fox is awesome, and Claudio wants to be a fighting champion. Not the first time he's allowed someone to challenge for the title like that and it was a great main event in the end
