Update: rewatched in a better mood and it was better. Likes: -The set -The roster -The overall style and vibe Dislikes: -Too much crammed on one show -It was over two hours without commercials and some people still didn't get an entrance. -The first match was a current champion and pretty big star going toe to toe with an indie jobber from 20 years ago. -The final match I don't understand how or why he got a title shot. Overall, I liked it enough that Ill watch again this week. The first match was a nod to the first ever ROH match, a Briscoe Brother vs an innovate indie high flying vet. It was a nod to Jay Briscoe vs The Amazing Red, and gave Mark a win to kick off the new era AR Fox got a title match because AR Fox is awesome, and Claudio wants to be a fighting champion. Not the first time he's allowed someone to challenge for the title like that and it was a great main event in the end Yeah, except the first ever ROH match was Da Hit Squad vs Christopher Street Connection. It also doesn't explain why it was so back and forth. Am I supposed to now believe that f***ing Slim J is as good as Mark Briscoe?

Slim J's a 20 year veteran himself who has innovative high flying offense that commentary even said inspired a lot of wrestlers in the time period. So yeah, Slim J having a decent match with Mark Briscoe isn't crazy to me?

ROH has replaced Impact on my viewing list! Wow that was fast, after one episode of ROH! Don't you think TK is going to need some writers or something to help him with things now due to having AEW and ROH. I have no knowledge of how it all currently works backstage, but i get the vibe that Tony is very hands-on with the shows, he might end up burning himself out. I know he said the ROH shows are catering to a more hardcore fanbase compared to AEW in his eyes, i am sure he said that in the Revoloution media scrum. Whilst announcing that HonorClub had over 12,000 subscribers, which apparently was higher than the internal figures for it on launch. Do we know how many subscribers HonorClub had it, when Sinclair had it? roughly

Taping blocks are much easier on the wrestlers and the booking when you can lay out a whole months worth of story and execute it in the same day

The card actually looks decent for this week!

That's a good card.
Is kind of weird though that I assume this is going to be heavily in-ring focused but Joe, Eddie and Deppen are on a very short list of wrestlers that I wouldn't actually mind hearing more promos from.

The editing to avoid showing Joe carrying the TNT Title is hilarious.
