I'm late to the party here, but good lord, this show is adorable and fascinating and I loved it. Don't listen to anyone who compares it to Squid Game; that was gruesome horror. This is a bunch of fitness nerds supporting and complimenting one another, and the games are well-designed and deceptively simple, and the production is great. And it SEEEEMMMSSSS like they took care to do everything safely: even digging into the dirt about the show (which people seem strangely motivated to find) it really doesn't seem like there were many injuries at all, which is kind of amazing.
There definitely were flaws: there was too much prioritizing upper body strength, and zero challenges designed such that female bodies would actually (gasp) have an advantage. And two of the finalists completely fell through the cracks for me throughout four out of the five games (though apparently one of them is much more famous in Korea, so he at least would definitely have been standing out). But at least we got Kim Kang-min and Song A-reum as lavender-tinted-best-friend-life-partners the adorable married couple, Seo Ha-yan as the purest-hearted butch bad-ass in the land, Miracle, the Man Who Couldn't Stop Flipping, and of course Sexyama, who's basically The Fonz.
