Even though you are still technically at an event being held by the band, wrestling promotion, ect, everything is too far to see clearly. Especially if it's wrestling, you spend more time looking at the screen projecting than at the ring (of course you could argue with a band that it sounds the same through out the whole venue). In this instance, I'd rather watch a wrestling ppv in the comfort of my own home.
So what about you FAN?

I think there's definitely a point where it's not worth the cost, but at least with wrestling, even not-so-good seats can be fun with crowd interactions.
Concerts, I'm not sure it matters all that much where you sit? I went to a Gabriel Iglesias show where I could barely see the stage I was so far back, but was still a fun time watching the monitor.

Depends on the building. Some arenas/stadiums have no real bad seats. Others…have terrible seats

Depends on the scenario. Wrestling is very visual so I wouldn't want to be anywhere I couldn't see the action with my own eyes.
Bands I don't care about as much. I saw Bon Jovi from literally the highest and furthest away row in the Tokyo Dome and still had a blast.

Prudential Center in Newark has amazing sight lines so even the upper bowl seats have a great view. That's for both wrestling and hockey.

At NFL games, the nosebleeds are the best seats period.

The last concert I went to before the pandemic was nosebleed seats and I have a pretty bad fear of heights. Although i had to basically crawl up to get into my seats, I had a pretty good time. I honestly saw the stage better in those seats than I would have on the floor, since I'm kinda short.

some of the smaller theaters the very back is fine and you still get a good view, but the big stadiums and baseball fields though...ugghhhh. *shakes fist at Wrigley Field*

My buddy is a Habs fan and wanted to see them play. I said, "It's not like we're going to a NHL game every month or even every year...or really ever, so let's spend some cash and get good seats" He decided against that, so got nosebleeds and sat at the very absolute top of the Saddledome, you can stand up and touch the roof. It was fine, we did see the game, but you're so far away, there's no atmosphere, there's nothing.
In general, I think TV is the best way to view things anyway. I think I'd like to go to WrestleMania, but they're packing more people into those things that live in my entire city. That fills me with dread. I'll just stay on the couch. International travel to sit amongst 70,000 other people and six miles away from the ring, doesn't appeal to me.

I went to one show where I had to do that, watch the screen more than the stage, and I did not enjoy it. Fortunately a lot of bands I like either play smaller venues or I can afford to get close enough to make it worth it.

I'm a season ticket holder for the St. Louis Blues Hockey. I sit in the upperbowl about middle of the section so not at the highest of high but close but the thing about the Enterprise Center is there is no bad seat. Plus going to as many games as I do, I can't afford lower bowl. One year I was seated with maybe 3 rows from the very last and still was a solid spot view wise.
So on the other hand I was in the upper Bowl for the Royal Rumble last year that was in Rams St. Louis Stadium. The pricing was insane to begin with but the seats would have been fine IF the WWE didn't have a bright at light shinning in my face the WHOLE time. Someone complained to someone that worked there and was told "It was nessscary for TV." It really wasn't. I had a good time still made the best of it. Was not worth the price paid.

Pretty much any time I go to something (which is not often) I deliberately get nosebleeds because I'm cheap as hell.

Some modern stadiums have a great view from anywhere, Wembley is fine at the top and I believe the 02 is the same. I've sat at the top of Newcastle's St James Park (140 stairs to the away end) and the Nou Camp, they're not so good but still ok for football, you just get a more tactical view.
I don't think I'd want to watch wrestling or music from a similar distance.

Nosebleeds One of the big columns supporting the set around the ring in the way. Lights shining in our eyes to the point there were chants started which I believe you can hear on the broadcast. Everything around the week was fantastic, but would have been better off in a bar to actually watch it lol.

My son and I went to see the Kings at Staples Center (or whatever they call that place now). We had seats in the absolute top row of the stadium and still had a great view of the game.

Completely depends on venue and band/event.
Like for example first time I saw the Ramones it was horrible seats. But I had been wantintg to see them for 15 years.
Really with wrestling unless I am first 3 rows or first row of risers for big venues I rather just watch it on TV.

It’s why I’m not going to Wrestlemania this year, despite it being nearby. I’ll be just fine at home.
