We all know that Limp Bizkit is (was?) WWE’s favorite band, but when did that start…and more importantly, why did it?
Also, what’s the worst song ever used as the official song of a pay-per-premium-live-view? And has anyone ever bought a PPV/PLE because of a song like “Crack Addict”?

A lot of the more recent PLE themes are not very good, but if I had to pick one it would probably be Astronaut in the Ocean from Elimination Chamber 2022. Because nothing says the most unforgiving match stipulation ever than that "Whatchu know about rolling down in the deep" meme song.

They seem to be quite fond of The Weekend at the moment.
Has produced the main theme Wrestlemania 3 years in a row.

Not sure about worst, but that Weeyyoo Chili Peppers song at Wrestlemania 24.. wasn't feeling it. In a bit of irony: the name of that song was called Snow...promoting an event that took place in Florida. (From a band that is synonymous with the state of California for that extra bit of irony.)

WWE really loved themselves some Saliva for a bit there, too.

I was gonna say, the event took place on the opposite coast, dammit.

It's a far cry from when it felt like "Bodies" by Drowning Pool seemed to be the theme music for everything. It might've been cool in 2001, but somewhat less so in 2008.

"Bring me to Life" was used for No Way Out 03 and I always found that to be a weird choice

“Cool For the Summer” by Demi Lovato was the official song for SummerSlam 2015. I suspect that no one in the company actually listened to it and just thought “hey, it has the word ‘summer’ in the title. Perfect!”

St Anger was used for Summerslam 03. That must be a contender.
Also, of course, Hardy at this years Rumble.

WWE really loved themselves some Saliva for a bit there, too. If Limp Bizkit was WWE's favourite band, Saliva were their large mutant sons that they put through college

Notice that they stopped using Saliva after Josey Scott left. I'm surprised they never used any Euro-power metal, there are several songs with kind of a "tough" image (especially if they used Hammerfall).

I’m almost 100% certain that old-assed Vince McMahon is a Nu Metal enthusiast.

I was so disappointed that they did two straight pirate-themed WrestleManias and never thought to use Alestorm for a theme.
