Alien: “Star Beast”. Yeah, that’s better. I’d be down for Star Beast vs. Predator.
The Breakfast Club: “The Lunch Bunch”
Some Like It Hot: “Not Tonight, Josephine”
Last Action Hero: “Extremely Violent”

Always thought Scary Movie was the absolute best title for "Scream" considering how meta it was...Funny enough it became the absolute best title for the Wayans instead of stuff like "Stop I know what you did last halloween" etc

Scary Movie was an absolutely perfect title for the original Scream. However, as a franchise title I think they’re lucky to have changed it. It’s a thing that’s perfect once but works less with repetition.

Halloween was The Babysitter Murders and Friday the 13th was A Long Night at Camp Blood before they got their holiday brandings.

Going for some Star Wars ones as Blue Harvest for Return of the Jedi is one of the most famous examples.
The Last Jedi's working title was Space Bear and most characters had a bear-related codename as well. Probably not a cooler title, but imagine advertising a Star Wars movie called Space Bear.
Solo was Red Cup.

Going for some Star Wars ones as Blue Harvest for Return of the Jedi is one of the most famous examples. So that's why the Family Guy parody is called Blue Harvest. LOL

Friday the 13th did that a lot. But as shooting titles so people didn't know what they were shooting. Part 6 was A Lad Insane and 8 was Burial At Sea

Not quite as cool, but Cannibals in the Streets was an alternate title for Cannibal Apocalypse. No matter what it’s called the movie is pretty badass!
On the other hand Bloodsucking Nazi Zombies was an alternate title for Oasis of the Zombies. In that case either way the movie sucks ass!

Going for some Star Wars ones as Blue Harvest for Return of the Jedi is one of the most famous examples. Are there any earlier examples of the working title being intentional obscuring of whats actually being filmed? I feel like this is the first one but I can't be too sure.

As you say, there are many examples of earlier movies having working titles but none of those seem to have been to hide what was being filmed. I doubt Saturday Night Fever was a big secret
