Wrestlemania IV and the first Clash of the Champions. The third direct skirmish between Vince & Crockett, with Savage winning his first world title and Sting having his coming out party as a main eventer. A historic day for sure

Mania IV isn't exactly my favourite Mania or anything but Savage winning the title was cool to see as a Mega Savage fan. Stinger in the main event at the first ever Clash of the Champions was f***ing epic as a little Stinger. One of the rare shows were me and my brother were rooting for opposite wrestlers growing up lol.

This was the debut of the Winged Eagle belt as well, at WM IV, right?

This was the debut of the Winged Eagle belt as well, at WM IV, right? Almost. It was the belt given to Andre several weeks earlier when he "pinned" Hogan to set up the tournament. For some reason, Hogan had his old belt in the pre-match promo, then wore the WE to the ring.

In WWF this period marked the end of Bobby Heenan as the main event manager. He remained a featured manager of course. But his nearly 20 year run as the top manager in the territory he was in ended with the Dibiase angle.
